Playoff action kicks off for us at the Centre Videotron on Friday night.
The Remparts will be looking for a big start in this series. Robillard will need to be on top of every facet of his game for us to even have a chance.
Game time is 8:00 ADT.

Hughes had two games and served these both before the playoffs.
I was expecting Romeo to be suspended following the Halifax game, but it appears as if the league rescinded the match penalty he was assessed....just like they rescinded the aggressor penalty that was given to L'Heureux.
Tessier was supposed to be back, supposed to be back, just supposed to be short term..... but we have not seen him since mid-February. Even if he shows up at Videotron Centre tonight, no way he's in the lineup given the time he has missed.
So we should have a full complement.
But that's a scary looking lineup from Quebec. The top three lines are populated with either elite 20 y/o players, NHL draft picks, or both. Agostino centring the 4th line has the big game experience from playing with Shawinigan last year.
If we are to get a game in this series, I think we need Robillard standing on his head and stopping in the range of 50 shots along the way. It's a reach. If we played better down the stretch and didn't lose multiple times to Saint John and Cape Breton, then we'd be in the 6th spot playing Moncton and I'd like our chances of our 20 y/o players willing the team to get to 6-7 games. But we are in the matchup we deserve following poor play in March.
As good as Quebec is.... and Halifax too. I think Sherbrooke is even better and Gatineau is right there too.
If the right teams make the final 4.... Halifax, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Quebec.... it will be one hell of a final and semi-final this year!

I am hoping to avoid a slaughter, keep it competitive. I would be absolutely thrilled if they stole one game.

Didn't watch the game....looks like we were outmatched in basically every facet of the game.
It's no secret that Quebec was not very happy with how their final playoff game in the 2022 playoffs went. They've probably been waiting for this night since June 1 last year.

Islanders were saying they were going to play a physical game... that wasn't it. Hits were 26-8 for Quebec.

Our goalie kept them in it with a number of fantastic saves. |
