As of now, the 20's that could be back next season are:
Carter Bickle
Carl-Étienne Michel
Lane Hinkley
Simon Hughes--I don't think he will be an Islander during trade deadline.
Could Bickle be back next season as a 20.....or do they give the full reigns to Ozols.

Could Bickle be back next season as a 20.....or do they give the full reigns to Ozols. Only one I see is Hinkley. Hughes will be here all year I think as well. I cannot see using a goalie as a 20 in rebuilding years, especially when ya have Ozols who holds his own. |

Hughes is done if he’s home sooking because he’s not playing top minutes if the rumours are true he’s not an ideal player to have around a rebuilding team and that’s too bad cuz I’m a big fan of his game

Vos also playing now as a 19 y/o.
Not likely in the mix as a 20…..but he’s doing everything they ask of him and is deserving of his place in the lineup.

On Hughes…..the hard truth is that when he was traded here last season as an 18 y/o we were his third stop in 3 QMJHL seasons.
If he doesn’t get himself reconciled with this team, his days as a QMJHL player are unfortunately likely over.

Honestly not a great group of potential overage options there
Lots of time tho for that group to look much different and if not I would think we would do some shopping to add a quality overage scorer up front
Won't jump on the speculation train in regards to Hughes ..... he looked good after coming here last year so not sure what happened to change things so much but we need to find some more scoring outside the PP and top line and he should be able to contribute to that if he is back in the lineup
