I'm surprised Conrad's didn't go higher given how well he's played and what his expectations are going forward. Would've tried for his but it was just a little out of my price range. The jersey I got, I was at my maximum I was going to go. Now a pride night jersey, I'll definitely go higher than that. Congrats to anyone here who won one.

Oops my bad for the typo. Fix it. But yeah I was just trying to scoop up a jersey for cheap but I would only bid on a jersey of a player I somewhat like. Slim pickings for me on the Islanders this season. I've been conflicted in whether I like the raffle over the auction and was actually having this discussion last week at a Cats game. I think the way the Islanders did it is probably the best way to do it. You allow people that really want a jersey and have the money to get one and then you also allow other people to have a have and support a good cause.

I still liked the old method better..... but at least they did toss a few in to win by purchasing raffle tickets... altho 2 of the 4 available were not game worn as the players were not dressed.....
in the end it's the charity that matters and whatever raises the most money is the right call provided it winds up where it should go (don't get me started on how corrupt overall cancer charities have been and why we still have to fight this disease like we do despite decades of fundraising)
congrats to those who got one.... and nice that parents who already had one decided not to bid this year
having said all that i'm sorry but 1000 dollars for a kids jersey is a ridiculous price to pay

For some it’s ridiculous, for some it’s a drop in the bucket. For some people, they might be donating it to the charity anyways so what’s the difference if you do it on a jersey or just write the cheque?

He tried really hard to get the last special jersey (Charlottetown Islander throwback one last year) but was out bid and said he was getting the next no matter what. So to him, probably not ridiculous! To each their own! it’s not you spending the money so why stress? I probably spent way too much but it’s a good cause and I’m happy to support the team. To some, what I spent may seem ridiculous.

At the end of the day, nhl jerseys are like $300ish…to get a jersey that will never exist again, of your junior team, while supporting a great cause…just makes me wish I had some extra money I could’ve bid on one

I know I'd be really happy and fired up if it was me.
