Campbell cost them this one No he didn't. We killed the penalty and failed to turn the momentum with the kill. Conrad being a pylon on that rush to give the Dogs the lead cost them. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but he's been terrible since coming back from the U17.

Taking a 5 minute penalty for no reason late in the third cost this team the game. Saint John may not have scored in the PP but had all the momentum from that. He keeps taking stupid penalty’s this stuff isn’t like he’s taking too many hooking or tripping infractions he’s taking major penalties how many chance will JH give the kid? Also Conrad is a 16 year old rookie playing top minutes mistakes will be made. I’ll take a Own Conrad in my team everyday

Yeah Conrad consistently gets beat wide…to be fair, Elliot is probably a top player in the league in terms of burning D men wide and crashing the net but it happens way too often with Conrad. As far as the two guys getting called up for the year, I’ll believe it when I see it…Allen has been up and down since the Christmas break and I’m sure he would’ve been here all along if he was staying with the club. Same with the D man, there’s no reason not to have him here if he’s signing, rather than call up Jacques. Of course this is all barring we dont see a bunch of trades tonight/tomorrow morning.

Take it with a grain of salt but I was told tonight there are 2 Quebec teams with real interest in Horth. Who knows.
Elliot with the dagger seems fitting. I was surprised Peddle was kind of not noticeable. Campbell retaliated to a hit on him, really wish he'd learn to control that.

Hopefully it's just a nagging injury, but if that's the case, call up a player or trade for a dman and let him get the care he may need.

Campbell reminds me of rookie season Patrick McGrath where you could pretty confidently count on him to take a stupid and ill-timed penalty. Emotions can run high, I get it, but you do need to learn to control them. And I can speak from experience that it is difficult but it is possible. And I do disagree with Switchback, the penalty was poorly timed but killing a late 5 minute penalty should've given the Islanders the momentum and it didn't. Seizing the moment is definitely something they could benefit from learning. What's done is done though, hopefully Campbell learns to use his head and think before he takes a needless penalty. He's very much in a Tom Wilson situation where he needs to reflect on his game and decide what's more effective for the team, sitting in the press/penalty box or contributing in the game. Also to clarify, I don't think Conrad is a bad player and there's a lot of positives to his game, but I noticed lately he's messing up a lot of the basics for his game. I hope he develops into the player he's been expected to be.
