Tigres come into town today for the final student night of the year. They sit 24-10-3-0 on the season for 51 points and 3rd in the Western Conference. In the perfect circumstances this could end up being a first round opponent if I understand the crossover rules correctly.
Islanders are sitting at 17-19-2-1 for 34 points. We've been dealing with illness and injuries, hopefully we have a full squad again tonight.
Islanders sit at 8-8-1-1 at home while the Tigres are 10-7-2-0 on the road. Should be a good test for the post Christmas Islanders.
Power play VIC: 23.6% (24.7% road) CHA: 24.2% (23.9% home)
Penalty Kill VIC: 81.0% (79.2% road) CHA: 78.1% (86.8% home)
Last 10 VIC: 8-2-0-0 CHA: 6-3-1-0

James Swan should debut with the Islanders tonight.
This is a busy weekend with Victoriaville, Rimouski, then Quebec in for 3 games in 4 days.

Sloppy start to the period getting outshot 11-3, but finished strong only getting outshot 13-12 in the period and kept the score close.
Chippy start too, I won't be too shocked if there's a fight.
UPDATE: Hahahahaha...dammit

I do miss when our goalies used to out goalie the other teams...bickle had been playing really well for a good stretch As much as he deserved to be pulled, a couple of them were nice plays/shitty bounces. Isles hit the crossbar, Tigres come right back down and hit the post and it trickles in. Bickle just missed swatting it off the line too. Another one was a great deflection behind the back on a pass by a Tigre out front. The kid has played a ton of games since Christmas, he was due for a bit of an off night

I mostly just think that since I've been watching the Islanders, we have been spoiled with some great goaltending that helped us steal games and this year has been a little less of that.
