Louis Robitaille’s team last year had a lot of talent, dominated the second part of the season and the first two rounds. He couldn’t adjust in the semi final against a better prepared team. Will history repeat itself? Remember though that was a Team in it's go for it year ........this Team is doing it a year before that . I know a lost against BC wouldn’t be a huge surprise. But I’ve watched your games in the first two rounds and yesterday what I’ve seen is a team that wasn’t ready to play playoffs hockey. It’s similar to what I’ve noticed from Robitaille’s team last year.

Let's see how tonight goes and most importantly Game 3 at Home here at Monday .

It’s similar to what I’ve noticed from Robitaille’s team last year. 10 days off flying in to face the #1 team in the country. Minus the bad opening 10 minutes or so it actually settled down and we were able to skate with them a bit. But its impossible to use a sample size of 1 to say they weren't ready to play or that its anything to do with another team in another season. They didn't lay an egg against a Saint John in October. Its round 3 against the best team in the entire CHL. Lets not pretend like these roles are reversed and the Eagles should dominate here. The Drakkar are perhaps the best prepared team in the entire QMJHL in terms of depth and talent for this playoff run. We're still a year away. Them losing this series would be a huge upset. They are supposed to win. And i'm still confident in our underdogs after playing about 48 minutes and only giving up 1 goal to them in a game where it would have been perfectly acceptable for the wheels to come off and get blown out considering you're going from facing teams lacking depth and talent to the team that probably has the most of both in the league.

That has to come from being put in those situations time and time again, it's called experience. What you can prepare a team for is how the Eagles played in the 2nd half of that game and for that I give Louis an A+ rating.

For 48 minutes we played a 1 goal game. If we can get a 60 minute effort like the 48...tonight should be a much tighter affair.

Another thing I’d like to mention is maybe it was a blessing in disguise last night that Milota was gone to the U18 tournament. If you pull Ruccia at 3-0 maybe that hurts his confidence against this team but having him stay in he really settled in and played great. And I’m not putting all the goals against on him, maybe the fourth you’d like him to squeeze the legs but in my opinion all four goals against were a result of missed assignments not overly on Ruccia

Missed assignments and puck management. Easy to fix, they just need to execute and be sharper early. I saw some guys not staying consistent to their role and or watching too much (circles vs finishing hits, losing puck battles etc). when players hit pocket plays for shots and others look them off to take bad angle shots because they want their cookies or have them blocked, these are the details that win games and series. I expect a much better consistent game like we saw in the third but with better execution and team play. Lastly, it was nice to finally have a game the players decided not the refs making soft calls- well done.

A mixup in the lineup tonight sees Shortall playing on the fourth line in place of Callum Aucoin.
I don't mind this adjustment this deep in the playoffs. Much better first five minutes for our guys tonight.

For the decent work the refs did last night, I feel like they've really let too much go for the Drakkar tonight. Interference causing Roy to go offside on a potential odd man rush needs to be called IMO. Lots of eagles getting hit and pinned to the ice for an additional 5-10 seconds leaving us deep offside doesn't seem to be something worth overlooking. Now it's a tie game on a call that probably wouldn't have gotten called on the Drakkar.

5 and a game on Fullerton on a hit that wasn't necessary.

Massive penalty kill there.

Just tuned in, legit 5 min major penalty or a weak one? Legit. Even Pat said it wasn’t a necessary hit. Keeps skating in and looking at numbers the whole way. Wasn’t a huge hit but he deserved it in my opinion just a stupid play
