I mean...it doesn't matter what I believe. He proved his way back to being one of the best players on the team in the second half. And showed his character in the 1st half.....the same character he showed in Drummondville... I'm not arguing that he didn't have a rough 1st half...I'm just saying the 2nd half he proved to himself, Jim and the fans, that he's capable of better. It's clear you want Hughes to be moved (or at least it certainly reads that way!) That may very well happen. I'm just never going to be the person that writes another off for a couple of mistakes. We'll just have to disagree. *shrug* I'm not living in a world where I CAN'T see him moved. I personally think that with Hughes, he's probably peaked. Could he have a better season with better players around him? Maybe. Maybe not. But like I've stated in the past, I appreciate (in the second half) that he hustled and never quit no matter what the scoreboard said. We lack that grit. I don't see anyone else on our team that plays that way. I think if we had a few more guys with that hustle hard attitude, we may win more games. But it is what it is. It's cool if you disagree. That's okay.

And showed his character in the 1st half.....the same character he showed in Drummondville...reason why he ended up in Charlottetown. I don’t know the issues you guys have with Hughes, i don’t know the whole story of that incident i’ve heard a couple, i know he comes from a hughes family that no one around the island has a bad thing to say about, i doubt those rumours are true, I Could see him being captain but definitely a letter. and the guy can score with playing such a hard nosed role. who knows, but i know the islanders would miss out not having him. I agree. I predict that if he DOES stay..he's wearing a letter as well. We shall see!

Obvious from the majority of fans that they truly appreciate hughes efforts and leasing scorer but some of the small minds in charlottetown would prefer a lesser talent from “away” than one of their own.
But even if you are a bitter soul the stats dont lie. He’s your leading scorer and did so with less opportunity.

Lol People that think because they’re from a smaller place that the reason people from there don’t make it, isn’t because they’re not good enough but because they just don’t get the opportunity based on geography. They’re also a lot of the same people that think having locals on the team somehow improves attendance dramatically, when it doesn’t.

Id have to think it’s an awkward situation. We will see, he didn’t play any intersquad games, wonder what the deal is there, and also only 1 pre season. Interesting to see if he’s in lineup tomorrow.

Gurionov really impressed me, i think he has a good veteran role to play for the reason of being the teams he played for in the past, he looks very skilled. Exciting to see his year.

I like Hughes as much as any fan he seems like a great kid and I hope he stays and has a great season but I hate the whole we need to draft or trade this player because he’s a local also there’s no chance Hughes is captain there’s one obvious choice for captain and it’s Mr. Kearsey

Attitude cast off ? His numbers are good, especially in Barrie U18AAA.

Attitude cast off ? His numbers are good, especially in Barrie U18AAA. I wouldn't put much stock into u18 numbers. A lot of the best players from his age group were already playing jr. I don't know anything about him but seeing that he was under ppg for a jr b league at 18 tells me he wasn't brought here to score any points.
