Overall a fun game. Hard hits, good chances. Crazy to think Moncton still has I think 6 players at NHL camps. No kidding. Soon enough the Cats will be beating on the Isles as we did them for a few years recently. It’ll be ugly.

Yup it wasn’t long ago we were laying some double digit beat downs on the Cats I’m sure they will enjoy returning the favour. I think Moncton is the cream of the crop of the east especially once everyone gets back for them

Hickey will be the #1 next season. He's that good.

Of course he will be. That's all we have to pick from next year.

Michaud has been a huge standout for me. His skating has improved a lot and he picked up where he left off last season with his playmaking abilities.
Conrad's presence on the ice is definitely felt more than last season, but I also agree with the fact that he has his moments that aren't exactly favourable.

His presence is felt…unfortunately not from playing well. He was -3 today. Assisted on 1. Campbell was -4. Which is quite remarkable considering how much time he spent in the box, like 12 minutes. He assisted on one. Michaud had 2 points, was -3 as well tho. His skating is dismal, I don’t see any noticeable improvement. Point is no one is standing out. Ruccia in game one was great. Hickey today was good as wel, just not much help in front of him.

Butler looked great today, will only get better. Hughes goal and assist, 2 almost sure goals in last 2 games, hard posts. He gets every puck out, works hard, hits everything he sees, great leader for the young group on how to play. Defense looked better friday. Really like jardine. Conrad looks a lot more physical this year, will only get better with time.

I understand the concern, but I think it’s something that’s being looked into a bit too much here. He was noticeable every time he was in the offensive zone and he didn’t really cause a goal against. At least from what I saw. Campbell is much the same, but these aren’t guys you’re supposed to be looking at for defence, rather Conrad or Topo, who I feel were direct contributors to multiple goals against tonight should be the focus here. Also important to note, it’s still only game 2. One thing I’d like to see is they need to communicate more on the ice though.
