Congrats to the Wildcats in signing him. I can't speak for whether or not people from everywhere else will come whining on here but I for one don't think any "tampering" was done or anything. They drafted him and took their shot and managed to convince him to change his original plans. Good job.

This is great for the Cats and the fans. Have a local kid who should be able to put up some good numbers in the Q for a few years. This is getting better and better.

I'm assuming this was the announcement catnut was talking about? Not that I'm being greedy...

Don't you think there'd be posts all over this board if a decision was reached? I'm sure at least the Wildcat board here will be flooded with posts once it is announced MacAusland will or will not be reporting to camp. Told ya. Already there are two threads on him signing, and a third thread has been taken over by the subject.

Good for the cats, he will be a good addition to our team and the league. It will be nice to have a local boy.

Kinda ironic that you were the first one to start a second thread on it! Umm...where the heck did I start a thread on MacAusland? This one was started by wildcats. Another was started by mbastarache, and the one that was hijacked (at least temporarily) was started by wild1.

After the Brown deal of $ 265,000, I wonder what the Macausland deal was worth and is there anymore money left for the Americans even the Irvings have limits.

They own NB and are worth 20+ billion...a couple hundred thousand wont kill them. If they had 20 Billion in a regular high-interest savings account making 3% interest per annum they would make 600,000,000 million per year, and 50,000,000 per month just off of interest. When dealing with THOUSANDS of dollars, the Irvings dont have limits lol

Haha. Nice one lalalaprise. They are worth that much but a lot of it is tied up in assets, not cash. But take into account I am sure the Irvings are smart enough that their investments are earning more than 3%...it all likely evens out. The point is made. Paying junior hockey players is like pulling a cup of water from the ocean. Plus they likely just write it off somehow or consider it a tax break. I love the Irvings...spend more right here in the Maritimes please! ;D
