You dont make sense period. Your logic basically says Halifax wont win the Prez Cup because Yetman is the BACK UP....you know how stupid that sounds?? RIIIIIGHT. What if Roberto Luongo was the #1? Going by your logic Halifax still wouldnt win because Yetman is the back up. I'm saying cover all your bases just like I did at the start. I dont think many Moosehead fans would be concerned if Yetman was the back up this year... You also have to ask yourself...who else could they bring in that would be happy being the back up and who would be an upgrade? There arent many guys out there better than him who would be cool with sitting on the bench.

put this in persective ok ---- you in game 7 for the prez cup and in the warm up you # 1 goalie Say ' Luongo' gets hurt , now you have to count on Yetman to win the game or steal the game , nope sorry but not good enough back up in mu opinion .

Your confidence is a lot higher when you know you're the number 1 and your team counts on you and they have confidence in you...some people think having the 2nd best goalie in the league would mean he's the best backup but really, especially at this age, it's hard to be confident in those situations. Some goalies are mature enough, they try to get better and work with the other goalie to do what's best for the team.Sniderman and Tordjman I find were a great combo, Sniderman knew he was number 2 all the way but was always there when we needed him because Tordjman would thank him and work with him and stuff.

Yeah the Moose should really try to get Blanchard and Bernier so they have a good #1 and more importantly a good backup.

People shitting all over Yetman need to get a clue ... I wouldn't want him to be my number 1 if I was a contending team, but he would make a damn fine backup option IMO ... for that matter, he and even Kennedy would be a better backup option behind Riopel than anything we have in camp right now ... can't imagine the Moose would be willing to deal either one to us, though ...

That's it jimmy encourage them to use Yetman. Trodjman was injured the first series or two of our playoffs and Sniderman carried us. They have half the team we had and Yetman can't do that. That backup need's to carry the team. I'm not shitting on Yetman just that when you played Halifax last year he was always going to give you a chance to win.

According to the T&T Brenton would be a lock on the team

Wait a minute I apparently don't make much sense but I'll tell you this in the simplest terms I can. Its not about Rio vs Yetman, its about making a legitimate run at the cup and Yetman isn't up to the job of even the backup. His numbers proved that period. So if you want to be this years VD or CB then be my quest but you have one year and its going to cost you to make it legitimate. If you have any brains and I'm not sure when you are defending Yetman, you will acquire a legit backup maybe starter. Yetman is perfectly adequate to be a backup on a contending team. Are suggesting that CB and VD did not win a championship because their backups were not good enough ? Both teams had excellent goaltending so their backups were not an issue. You should stop arguing this point now because you are coming off as childish and stupid. Yes it is obvious you hate Halifax ... but you are letting your hatred cloud your judgement and that just makes you come off as dumb as a post.

According to the T&T Brenton would be a lock on the team Yeah I seen that,so is MacLellan? Then again they never mentionned anything about Brannon and Sill being locks,so i'm not convinced Hodge knows what he's talking about.....not that it would suprise me

Trodjman was injured the first series or two of our playoffs and Sniderman carried us. WTF ? Sniderman played 34 mins in the 05/06 playoffs ... never started a game. When exactly did he "carry us". You are making stuff up now to bolster your losing arguement ... there goes any credibility you might have had.

According to the T&T Brenton would be a lock on the team Reading that comment it actually doesn't seem to come from Flynn and may simply be Hodge's own opinion ... "It appears the returnees who are a lock to make the Wildcats are goaltender Nicola Riopel, defencemen Mark Barberio and Alexi Pianosi and forwards Matthew Brenton, Randy Cameron, Matt Eagles, Marc-Andre Labelle, Pierre-Marc Lessard and Murdock MacLellan. Factor in three 20-year-olds and there will be a minimum of 12 returnees on the roster." I can't see Flynn telling Hodge that certain guys are a lock as those kids will then relax and slack off a bit. Flynn wants them all competing hard every shift. He also has Watson listed as a 19 yr old but he is 18 ... so take Hodge's opinion for what its worth. I don't think Brenton, Eagles or MacLelland are locks ... I don't think any of them will be cut but I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of them traded to make room for others.

Hodge lists 6 returning forwards, plus two or maybe three overagers we are up to nine. The throw in new locks Sill, Brannon, Bezak, MacAusland and Brown and we are already up to 14 forwards - I can't see us carrying any more than that ... meaning using his thinking Watson, Lepage, Lamoureux, and anyone else at camp is already toast. I am not so sure that all the guys he lists as locks are quite locks ... I think part of the solution involves trading an overage forward for an overage d-man ... maybe in two separate trades (i.e. forward from Cats for a pick, acquire d-man elsewhere for another pick). We have good youth on defense, especially if Dimitruk stays ... he, Barberio, Pianosi, and Baca give us a promising young core ... but the problem is, they need to be supported by quality vets, and, arguably, they would be our top four defensemen right now, rounded out by the rather uninspiring group of Tolles, Goyens and Gomes ... a solid 20 year old d-man would really help our team IMO... I wonder if Quebec would do Andricopoulos and a pick for Mangan? They seem to have taken a hit on offense with the departure of the Bashkirovs?

Andricopoulos is not returning to the Q, he's playing in some bush league(United or Central). I agree though that 2 of Mangan Marquardt and Lincourt could be moved and a 20 year old d-man added.
