I was wondering if the Wildcats ever played Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses before puck dropped at any time last season. The couple of games I went, I can't recall it happening, and I remember noticing its absence a couple of times.
I was a huge fan of them doing that. Got some people pumped just before the game started, specially when it was a big game or lots of people in the crowd. I hope they bring it back.
Also, is there anything anyone here can think about that the Wildcats could do better next year as far as entertainment goes (other then playing and winning of course ;D)? Suggestions?

Less Richard Gauthier .. Intermissions are unbearable. Good thing it takes a while to get a coffee at Tim's.

Less Richard Gauthier .. Please tell Richard that you don't have to talk all the time....a little dead air every few seconds is ok. Having a whinny voice and talking all the time is a bad combination. I remember hearing him at the Molson Center for Speed and you could still hearing him over the race cars..ugh!! Bring back any of the others we ever had...I likem all much more ;D

Welcome to the Jungle is a great starter song. I really used to like when the player intro started with "Lunatic fringe". It had a really eerie vibe at the start and a long intro to allow the announcer to announce the starting lineup.

That would be fun but unlike some people I have an idea what I am good at, and what I'm not... ;D The old notion that if you thinks it's easy do it yourself doesn't apply here...that would just be an excuse. Any way, I go for the hockey and really enjoy at least three periods of great hockey every game. Can I submitt your name for the job? I am not bilingual, moved here in high school, unfortunately never had the opportunity.

For all the comments we've made in the past (myslef included) about the atmosphere being rather lacking at the Coliseum, it really is OUR job as fans to get into it. Let's make this season a tough one for visiting teams!

You are absolutely right....when the Cats score a goal we should see more than three of us in our section jumping out of our seat. The atmosphere really is created by the fans, just remember the memorial cup or any other great hockey games...the fans really get into it and it makes the experience all the better. Great fans make for great games most often. Good point. I really liked that, too. Last season they played Bark at the Moon during the intros which was ok but still not as good as GNR. I think the best intro song ever is the instrumental version of Where the Streets Have No Name, that just gets me pumped. Those videos of Stompin' Tom and INXS on the scoreboard get quite repetitive. Honestly, all I care about is the hockey anyways. I couldn't care less if there wasn't any "entertainment" at all.
