No players were cut today. Bryan Warner got a puck in the face but it was probably more of a sore mouth then a cut.

Does Pier-Luc Brousseau really need to worry about protecting his NCAA eligibility?

Does Pier-Luc Brousseau really need to worry about protecting his NCAA eligibility? If there's an American university that he's high on getting into yet doesn't have an overly strong hockey program, it may be a factor.

Riopel's groin injury may come into play this season. He hurt it last season and if it's pulled again that is not good. Plus he wasn't playing everynight last year and he injured it. I know it takes a very long time to heal them up and they are easy to re injure. Starting to get nervous and it isn't even reg season yet.

I know it takes a very long time to heal them up and they are easy to re injure. Starting to get nervous and it isn't even reg season yet. I said before Training Camp even began that the Cats are really going to need to find a solid back-up goalie for this season because of Riopel's groin problems last season. The fact that he's re-injured the groin already just adds to the urgency and has to be a real concern for the team. How many times is he going to re-injure the groin this season with a heavier workload? That's one of the big questions the Cats now face going into the new season.
