So Stephens is confirmed on the team .... makes an already crowded situation up front even moreso ... a few vets have got to be sweating ...
I think this is actually a good thing, as a 17 year old he will have a chance to grow and develop for the future, and he will also be more willing to accept a role as a part-timer (i.e. 13th or 14th forward) than a vet would be.

Also, in this morning's paper, the writing may be on the wall for Tolles and Goyens ... Hodge stated that Gomes and Eastman were likely to be top-5 d-men for the Cats this year - add Barberio, Pianosi, and Baca and there is your five, Demitruk would be #6 ... so it would appear Tolles and Goyens are competing for the 7th and 8th spots along with Wilson, Lamoureux, Boyle and Little.
Hodge also states that Bolduc has a leg up on the backup job.

I would keep Wilson and Boyle. They both move the puck well. Boyle has a little more mobility but Wilson seems to see the ice better.

I think we're not going to see Mangan here & Eagles will be here in his center spot. & MacLellan is not on the team according to your list, how come?

I can't see getting rid of both Tolles and Goyens ... one maybe ... and nobody has seen enough of Eastman to make any decision on him. He played in the all-rookie scrimmages on the first day of camp and was never seen again ... and he didn't seem to standout then. On Bolduc ... he played well in the early stages of camp but the last few outings has struggled ... and so you have to wonder if his conditioning isn't still a question mark ... two games a day for 5 days will wear on an out of shape kid. On the other hand ... Dupuis has been steady every game I have seen him play ... nothing flashy ... but he gets the job done and keeps his team in the game. I expect he'll get the start on Thursday.

I wonder who gets squeezed out by Stephens making the team. My guess is Lepage or Watson.

Stephens even if signed could still be here only till Marquardt ,Cameron and Lincourt come back from pro camps for some valuble experience imo

Kind of like Tim Spencer and Dave MacDonald getting into a few games at the start of the season last year.

ok so i havent been to training camp at all this year yet, but i have been following it on here and through some of my friends.. is there really a chance that Lepage wouldnt make the team?? I mean im going on what i seen last year but i thought he'd be a lock for a spot on this years roster..

Most have him somewhere between 15 and 20 on the depth chart at forward, and the fact he is already 19 works against him, I think.

Some of the changes may not make sense when you think of players in last year's context...once you see some of the games this year you'll rank players a little different. Forget about last year and it will be as clear as mud.

see the way i did it was went with the skill level they got the age they got , and we have 17 and 16 year players that are better then are 19 year old so why would we keep 19 year old . and there is heart i know some time you dont have all the skills in the world but if you have the heart and the desire it works in you avantage , but if you are 19 and just average player in my opinion i would preffer a 18 or 17 year old that is avarage then a 19 at leas you can work with the 16 17 or 18 year old for a few years .

I agree, all things being equal, take the younger player as long as you have a balance of different ages on the team.
