l'Acadie Nouvel of this morning quoted an Titan official(I don't remember who) saying that he was very impressed with Smearer's abilities and compared him to the Gallant bros , Brett and ??(once again I was hardly awake when I read the article)
if this has the slightest bit of truth boyle should be quite a fighter down the road as well... lol

Smearer comes from a boxing family. Dad is pretty tough. Besides he is from Jaquet River.... most of those kids who are tough go back to Lorne and fight adults just for kicks on weekends!

who did he fight again(or should I say undresses) ? was it Smearer? spelling? Yes... Smearer... 5'11", 205lbs. The guy looked like a little boy when he got his equipment off. The Q site has been wrong before. There is no way he weighed 205 and he was shorter than Boyle. Again they both had their heads down and one uppercut and either was on his ass.

From the comments by the father and Flynn, it sounds to me like a serious illness in the family (mother?, father?).
No need for Hodge to rip into his character like that without knowing what's really going on.

Well I don't think anybody realized that Boyle could fight ... reading on the Titan board (from "Pug") it is mentioned that he has been training with a boxing coach ... interesting. I can't defend the choice to keep Herr but he was really the only one who has shown any willingness to drop the gloves ... and by the time the deadline arrived on Monday Boyle had not shown his own pugilistic prowess. Where are you getting Boyle can Fight? The other guy was half his size and they both fought with their heads down the whole fight. If either fight someone legit, they are going to get killed. Me and a guy sitting next to me and who I don't know said the same thing. Boyle is huge then ... 11'10" ... 410 lb ... why is he playing hockey ? Both fighters are trained as boxers and I believe Smearer was brought in to the Titan camp to tryout for the enforcer role. Do you think Herr is better ? I've watched Herr fight a handful of times now ... this year and last year ... and he gets "killed" more often than not ... unless he picks on a 17 yr old. At least Boyle is a year younger and has the skill to take a regular shift ... being drafted for his hockey skills.

I wonder if its a marital problem...between mom and dad?? Does it matter ? If its a family problem it doesn't matter what it is ... the family has decided they need to be together while they deal with the problem.

"Trained as a Boxer" spare me.

What does his father think the is going to happen as he climbs the Hockey ladder??? He should also be reminded that it is pre season hockey.... Hopefully Fynn will be able to convince his father to let him play...
