1. Although I can understand how some would have thought it to be a good idea to have the players "introduce" themselves via the scoreboard screens, it was rather dull. When players are in front of the camera, they're, well, boring. You need the anouncer to bring the crowd into it. 2. Laser tag sucked. 3. I love the added pictures of alumni who played in the NHL! 4. The intermission guy (who is apparently doing the player intro now?) is a lot better then last year. Seems much more comfortable in his role. 5. I like the idea of the ticket holders' entrance. It will simplify everybody's life really. 6. Where is Welcome to the Jungle before the puck drops??? It's an awesome song to get the game started! 7. Anyone else feels like they should have kept Tomar's roar in the goal horn? Not in honour of the tiger, but I found it sounded really good with it. Made things different, a good different. #1. totally agree #2. well its just some intermission entertainment , I was gone to the toilette, and anyway I think it was some sort of corporate sponsor thing #3. didn't notice them #4. agreed a tad less annoying #5. agree #6. I absolutely HATE that song! GNR 1985/86 come on. theirs not even a player that was born when that came out. they should re-do the whole music thing in the coliseum get it up to date. ask the players and the young fans what they like, go get some young hip DJ. "Start me up" overplayed and very tacky, I like the stones and all but still, and "we will Rock you" how many people get into that now, maybe when I was in high school but not any more. just my opinion #7. don't really care. either way ok, i'll agree with maybe playing something other than Welcome to the Jungle before the game, but keep all the 80s hard rock music. don't play pop and techno shit in the Coliseum. that's what they play in harbour station, and look where the sea dogs finish every year. how are 16 to 20 yo guys supposed to get pumped up from listening to kelly clarkson, avril lavigne, rhianna or ashley simpson? maybe play "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row before the game? or in yesterday's case "Shout at the Devil" by Motley Crue would've been appropriate. anything with "Wild" in the title works for me!

Hahahaha yeah, play Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Rhianna & Ashley Simpson during warmup, players will get mental pictures and run back to the dressing room Keep pumping the jock rock... I personally liked Welcome to the Jungle but I'm perfectly open to some new music... There's plenty of new hard rock & metal that would fit it fine @ the Coliseum... Some of the heavier Nickelback for one (they did play Rockstar last night)...

I don't know about that. The ref. was on the phone for quite a long while so it must have been functioning properly.

Up in Bathurst, Morehouse fell down in front of Tardif and landed on top of him, pushing him into the net with the puck under him........they called it a goal, although I don't know how they could have..........different refs, different calls, different consistancy. They said in the pregame that the Titan tying goal should not have counted as it was a high stick. The replay equiment was not functionning so they did not catch it at the time in Bathurst. Maybe they can fine the team for that? The replay equipment was working fine........that's why Messier got the goal........everybody thought Clendenning got it, as he was the guy in front of the net..........the replay showed Messier took the shot that went over the net, hit the glass and came back out and went in off Riopel's back......

Finally getting around to responding to this... 1. Totally agree! I was at a couple games in Halifax last season and the players introduced themselves on the screens for the starting line-up and I thought it was extremely lame. I don't think any differently after seeing it here. 2. I couldn't even really tell what was going on but I'm not overly concerned about an intermission game. 3. Yup, very nice. 4. Never even really noticed. 5. Also never noticed (not very attentive sometimes ;D) 6. Last couple seasons they were playing Animals by Nickelback before the opening puck drop which I thought was good. Can't even remember what they played before the puck drop Sunday. 7. Yes the roar was very cool and different. I see no reason as to why it was removed Certainly not the end of the world but I do like originality when it comes to goal horns and goal songs.
