Well so much for that, might as well get it going am i the only one that feels Pianosi is not deserving to be on the powerplay,i,m sure teams can read the play when he gets the puck on the powerplay.I know we don,t have much but 2 forwards on the point if you have too.As far as cameron can he not skate at all with the puck,he seems to be slow skating with it and as far 20 yr olds do we still own the rights toLincourt or is he gone home.Players that looked good out there today macausland, barbeiro made some nice looking rushes

That was definitely one of the most boring wildcat games I've ever attended. I was glad they were changing things a little bit on the powerplay, but pianosi really wasn't working, I thought they should maybe even try Baca out on the PP, he does have a good shot at the point. The fans actually cheered for all of the cape breton star announcements, which couldn't have been more fitting for that game. Roy played very well in nets for a 16 year old.

Tough loss but you have to consider that the Cats were playing their first game in one night. ;D

Sigh. Another frustrating game to watch. When you have 5 on 3's for 2 whole minutes, you GOTTA score on that. Our PP looked a little more promising today, but not at all successful. I found everytime Marquardt touched the puck on the PP, he either fanned on it when making a pass or missed it all together. Everytime he touched it.. it was down the ice. I like how they decided to use 4 forwards and using Mangan on the point. But still, they need to shoot more. They shot a little more today, but they waited too long everytime they went to shoot.. except for once I can remember ( and they scored on the shot ) .. Marquardt is the key to this team evidentally. If big #61 isn't doing anything, then the team is struggling. Lessard.. I know he does have talent, but I fail to see what all the fuss is about. He ended up playing some of the game on the fourth line. I thought MacAusland was semi-good. He had a pretty good hit.. but I still think he's too small to play in this league. So this game is the same as the others on this current losing streak. Riopel plays really good, keeps his team in it.. but the boys let him down by not scoring any goals. Definitely cannot lay any blame on our goaltending. If not for Riopel, these games could be reaaaaal ugly.

...When you have 5 on 3's for 2 whole minutes, you GOTTA score on that... I would settle for a shot on goal, they didn't register a shot during that 5 on 3 for 2 minutes. The problem they have outside of talent is that they are god awful slow in their execution, each time they pass they hold on to it too long before they move it again enabling the opposing players to get themselves into position. Pianosi has been a disappointment this year, I expected some type of progression in his development but he's remained were he was last year and may even have regressed. He still has time to rebound but for the time being he shouldn't be on the power play. The good news is they have a week to work on special teams and their next opponent is having a worse year then them, could be a possible game to use to get the players back on track. On a side note, Zach Sill seems to be one of the few players that gives 110%, in my opinion he should be Captain, I know it's only his first year but he has the feel of a captain, leading by example.

I Agree about Sill, the last part of the game the only thing that kept me watching was Sill was still going out there 100% looking for a big hit or turnover even tough the game was seemingly over.

If he remains here next year as one of our 20'sh, which I expect him to.. I think you'll see him captain. His line always gives it their all.. although I find Brannon has laid off the physical play the last few games. Morehouse, while limited in his skills, still gives you all he has night in and night out.

Does Pianosi not know how to shoot? Or does he just like to fool around with the puck all powerplay? He NEEDS to be off the powerplay.

But when he does shoot, he waits to long and it just gets blocked. There was one exhibition game this year where he shot the puck, a lot.. and he ended up getting two goals. Not saying that will always happen, but if you get the shot off right away, better chance it has of getting to the net. I wish Barberio would shoot more too. He got a goal today. ( Still thought someone tipped it )

We could all pull a PEI and call for the coach's head . Don't tempt me! ;D ;D Nah, I don't think we're at that point yet. Also, we could definitaly see some improvement this game over the last couple. That being said, with a good time off before the next game, things better get better quickly. And somebody better get it through Mardquart's head that he needs to get a heart to go with his big body.

Keyword being "yet".. I don't know what has to be done, but something definitely has to change, because what they're doing is NOT working. I don't know what it is .. but somethinggg.. anythinggg!
