Does Flynn have control of these Mild cats? It seams that there are a lot of flotters/pylons on the ice for the Cats... we need defence, Offence and a better mascot. Wild Willy looks way to Mild! I liked the old Wild Willy ( and not Bill Clinton, he's the other other Wild Willy)

This thread reminds me that this losing skid isn't the worst thing that could happen. I strongly feel that some on here have become spoiled brats over the past few years and perhaps an off season (perhaps a ~GASP!!~ non-playoff season??) might bring some heads out of some asses. Not the worst thing to happen and not the end of the world if it DOES happen.

The articles by Hodge this week about the last 5 game losing streak occuring 5 years ago reminded me of how fortunate we have been as fans of the Cats to go this long without such a losing streak since that means we have had strong teams for the past 5 years.

I don't think for a second that the Eagles are THAT good.

There is nothing Flynn can do, there isn't much anyone can do with 3 guys at 5' 10", 3 guys 5' 8" and 6 guys at 5' 9" and for the most part average talent and that's being generous.
They're in a slump, mind you it's a big slump but you don't have the players that can energize the line-up or take control of the situation to climb back out of that hole. It's a fact of life we're not going to be very good for a couple of years.
The one thing that bugs me though is the european situation, the only thing I can figure out is Irving didn't want to waste money on getting top line imports because he knows we're going to stink for a couple of years. He has to be saving his cash for the moment we can contend and presto two incredible europeans magically appear because if he's not then he should fire his scouting staff. If that is the best we can beat the bushes and come up with after the fiasco (Europeans) of last year than all other decisions regarding scouting come into question.
Sit back and enjoy the train wreck there's nothing anyone can do except wait a couple of years.

Sit back and enjoy the train wreck there's nothing anyone can do except wait a couple of years. The size argument got old a long time ago. Games are won on skill, grit and smarts. Lately it seems that this team is not willing to put in the work needed to succeed unlike last year's team. To prove that the size arument is a joke, the biggest player on the team(and one of the biggest in the Q) in Marquardt has been playing half assed all year except a few good games early on. Not sure if it's system or what but they seem to spend a lot more time watching rather than the attacking, agressive skatining sttyle they played last year that was very successful. This year's team is older and overall more skilled but is playing much worse.
