I didn't really notice Gelinas,got there a bit late..But #48, Matt Boudreau was the best player on the ice.Good skater and great with the puck.

Gelinas played really well...great vision on the ice...good passer. I'll be honest I didn't watch him too much, but he seemed to know what to do with the puck and find guys who were open.

As far as I could see, Rafuse played a good game. Mind you, we didn't have a great line-up with a lot of weapons out there so it's hard to really judge. Couture seemed to have his number tho. His third goal was a beauty passing play.

The penalty shot was nothing really interesting. Boudreau came in on a breakaway and the Titan player (forget who it was) hooked his stick and Boudreau lost control of the puck.

Anyway...I'd like to see the Titan start dressing at least a few vets now. i know they're getting anxious to play after talking to a few of them tonight.

There was some good looking players out there tonight for both teams.......

Guys that stood out for Bathurst:

5 Remi Blanchard.......once again a very smooth quick skater..made some really nice rushes end to end on the powerplay and has a surprisingly decent hard shot....

9 Jordan Bernier......will be sent back to midget, but has good size and a good hockey sense....made some nice plays

14 Mathieu Jean-Boulianne......very smooth skater and looks like a really nice playmaker......set up a couple nice goals tonight.

16 Vincent Couture.......was a stand out last night and was the best player on the ice tonight for our guys........score 3 goals on a line with number 14 mentioned above.....nice skater, nice hands.

20 Cameron Critchlow.......fast, shifty player......had the puck on his stick when he was on the ice......made some really nice rushes, but never really got a good scoring chance.......he set up a beauty when he stole the puck behind their net and got it to the guy out front........one of the better players tonight.

26 wore 11 tonight, I believe...Taylor Lambke.....very nice player and controlled the powerplay on the point a couple times....

34 Jean-Simon Legros......a pretty good skater for a big guy.....played a lot better tonight as he wasn't trying to fight every time on the ice.....made some nice hits and cleared the way in the corners for his linemates......scored a nice goal also......depending on his fighting, he could be a good 4th liner.

44 Daniel Basque.....played one of his better games since he came around last year.........looked like a guy who didn't want to be cut tomorrow.....had a couple great pk's......blocking shots, etc.,.....too bad he's 19 cause he's a pretty good player, but I think he'll be out of luck this year.

goalies: Scola looked worse than Szostak.......Turgeon let in one pp goal and one penalty shot......besides that he played a decent game.

Don't have time to comment a lot right now, but will list the guys that stood out above all the others......

11 Billy Lacasse....some very dangerous shots
19 Charlie Pens.....point on pp looked like a vet
21 John MacDonald.....I thought he was the best player on the ice for Lewiston, next to 48....
22 Dave Cadorette.......just noticed now that he is 19, but he looked more experienced than a lot of guys out there...he put some good dangerous shots at the net but couldn't seem to finish them.
34 Pierre-Olivier Morin.....had a great game tonight
44 Justin Pearsons.....huge kid......skates surprisingly good for a big guy.....he is very soft though.....shied away from the rough stuff in the corners and avoided hits.......he turned down Legros a couple times, then turned down 16 year old Jordan Bernier who is 5" shorter and 34 lbs less..........will be a good dangerous player if they can get him to play with an edge.....
48 Matt Boudreau........possibly the best player on the ice for both teams tonight......great skater, good on faceoffs and dangerous with the puck.

Your goalie looked shaky in the 1st half but wasn't really tested much, so didn't have many against him........in the 3rd period when the Titan started picking it up, he looked bad.......I'd say 2 of the goals he didn't have a chance on, both scored by Couture.

Your goalie looked shaky in the 1st half but wasn't really tested much, so didn't have many against him........in the 3rd period when the Titan started picking it up, he looked bad.......I'd say 2 of the goals he didn't have a chance on, both scored by Couture.

Nice observations. I will say one thing about Critchlow though. He looked very winded near the end of the 3rd period. So much so, he almost got creamed by a Lewiston player as he was heading to the bench and missed a breakout pass. I dunno whether he just was hurting that shift or what, but that concerned me a little bit. Other than that, you're pretty much bang on with everything.

What I noticed about Critchlow is that he stays out on the ice way too long.......both his linemates had changed almost every time and he was still out for another 20 to 30 seconds....he played one entire powerplay and made at least 4 rushes with the puck, then was absolutely dead trying to get off the ice.......I think if he cut his shift times in half you will see him flying every shift.........that will probably be fixed by the coach though.

Makes sense. But yeah...that's a bad rookie habit that I'm sure he'll break out of by October.

No surprises at all.....I'm surprised that some of them got to play a 2nd game.
