Anyone want a free ticket for tonight? I know it's close to game time but if you want it PM me in the next 15 minutes. I'm going to watch some hockey tonight. Good plan, university hockey won't put you to sleep like the Wildcats No one feel asleep tonight thank you very much.

Congratulations on scoring 7 goals on a rookie goalie in his 3rd game in 2 months with a below ave. save %.If he had an above average save percentage in those 3 games, I suppose it would matter huh. Your methods of statistical analysis are fascinating. The obsession some Titan fans have with Moncton is truly sad. Here I saw that the Titan won tonight and figured that all their fans would be happy. Nope! Still have to be upset because Moncton won. I guess we should be honored that they spend so much time worrying about Moncton...

These are the types of games you just love in a rebuilding season. Very enjoyable and well deserved victory tonight. You could almost sense over the last couple games that they were due to have a break out performance in terms of offence and it was very impressive to do so against a red hot Eagles team. I was expecting the Cats to come out with a good effort tonight after the embarrassment in Sydney a week ago but I certainly never expected a 7-2 win. It's funny because some people were saying they expected the Eagles to get blown out at some point...of all the teams to do it... ;D
Big crowd (even though without the freebies it would have been practically empty), good game, and overall one of the more enjoyable nights at the rink in a while. I'm not going to say we've "turned the corner" by any means because this game could very well be nothing more than an aberration, but we'll gladly take the 2 points and run.

I hate the Titan and dislike the Leafs but there's nothing I hate more then a little girl crying over something as stupid as that.

Great game, now that is what you call entertainment. By far the best effort put out by the team this year. Fans will come with that kind of effort.

Great game! Marquartd ....he did score, laid the bodycheck, blocked shots! PP line with Macausland Eagles Marquardt Mangan and Barberio sure did well tonigth......Hey Flynn!Keep Macausland on PP instead of Besak. Srephens sure did well tonigth even though he had a few "rookie"mistakes....I could live with that when it s from a Rookie! What a confidence builder this game was. The Eagles bubble......is it bursting(11 goals against in past 2 games)? Time will tell..........

I actually really liked Morehouse on the PP... He gets in front of the net and causes some comotion...Nolan did that with Spencer...But I am very impressed with Mcausland...The kid plays like he is six feet tall....He had the most hits in the game last night....Great effort by all the guys....

How about Baca's fight? He may not be the fastest fighter but he just manhandled Fontaine, It'l be interesting to see him up against a real fighter rather than a 180lb 18 year old. I feel much more confident in his fighting skills rather than Kelan "the punching bag" Herr.

I thought from his first game McAusland looks dangerous, he seems to be in the right places for scoring opportunities or throws the puck in the right areas to creat chances. I think he has the ability to put up 30+ points this year. I can't see him out of the line up again for the rest of the year providing no injuries.

I feel much more confident in his fighting skills rather than Kelan "the punching bag" Herr. I don't see why Kelan Herr should get one more second of ice time. Baca was always better at everything hockey related and now he's also the better fighter. I'm not getting all excited over one fight and I'm not expecting him to fight every game but he fared better then I've ever seen Kelan Herr fight. I love these Euros though. I mean their celebrations are even better then Radu's baton twirling. I was hoping for Baca to do some sit ups or something after the fight but acting like the big heavy weight champion was a good consolation.

That was unexpected...
You won't see the powerplay progress quickly.... and we caught a Cape Breton team that was really just going through the motions after the third Cats goal... but it was still great to see some quick passes and deception on the PP. Like somone else said, the past couple of games at home haven't been overly bad... the Cats just got the short end of the stick and a couple of letdowns proved costly. Tonight was fairly unexpected... but a confidence boost like this could prove to be invaluable.
The team that has been assembled here this season is somewhere in between what we've seen most of this month and what we saw last night.
btw, if that's how Ted Stephens plays after playing only 4 games so far this season, I say put him in more frequently. I expected alot of rust... but he exceeded my expectations.
Also, Matt Boyle might've been the Cats' best penalty killer last night.

Also, Matt Boyle might've been the Cats' best penalty killer last night. It's too bad he was hurt last season, costing him a year of development. I liked what I saw from him, too.
