WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
If we played all 70 games against Halifax we'd be on pace for 117 pts ;D
Great game though by the Cats overcoming lots of adversity along the way. Bad play by Lavigne on the first goal, a "travel" by Swan on the 2nd goal, a goal in the last minute of the 2nd period which is usually a back breaker and killing off a Moose PP in the final 5 minutes. Great call using Barberio as the 4th shooter, used the same move he did in Quebec as a member of the Eagles on a penalty shot and he also used that move in one of the interquad shootouts in training camp.

A huge win by the Wildcats. This will should give them a lot of confidence before having to face the Screaming Eagles again and the Sea Dogs who aren't the walkover they used to be.
Still too many shots against with 38, but with the defensemen the team has, it's no surprise really. Any 17 or 18 year old defenseman available come trading time at Christmas?

Now let us see if our improved play extends to the shoot-out. Lavigne didn't look very good in the shootout against Halifax here in September and Pelletier has looked sharp for the Moose since coming in. Not sure if I see us winning this one, but either way a very solid road effort by the Cats today against arguably the best team in the league on paper. Perhaps you should check Pelletier's shootout stats before making that statement ... something like 10 g on 17 shots faced ... as reported on the Titan board. Add 3 more tonight out of 4.

Good game by the Cats, even with a lot of different scenario they never gave up and were very gifted by Barberio nifty move in the shootout. Go Cats Go ;D Hope this a sign of things to come.

Was at this game... and it wasn't too bad of a game... if only because of the victory I've only ever seen the Moose beat the Cats once at MC... maybe I should go down more often. The Cats didn't play their "A" game... they were sloppy (especially on breakouts) for a few stretches. However, they were playing an equally sloppy Moose team. Was it a case of Halifax playing down to the Cats level? Perhaps. I said before the game that either McAusland or Brown would score their first today. Didn't I look some smart. ;D Rumour has it that Vorachek wasn't 100% today... he still looked dangerous at times but wasn't being played nearly as much as he normally is... especially late in the game. Barberio's goal was awesome... as was Eagles' tying marker. A person sitting next to me that shall remain nameless predicted that Barberio would attempt the same move he did last year while with the Eagles. I'd give more credit where it is due, but would not want to be responsible for the swelling of any heads.

Why would I need to check Pelletier's shootout stats before saying that he looked sharp after coming in? Cause that's the reason you won.........Pelletier is brutal one on one......shows what kind of a goalie he really is........he has now allowed 14 goals on only 21 shots in shootout.......0.333 save %......overrated?

Why would I need to check Pelletier's shootout stats before saying that he looked sharp after coming in? Because he has a history of solid play followed by shitting the bed in the shootout ... you had no need to be worried ... and Pelletier held true to his stats. Good thing there are no shootouts in the playoffs.
