Riopel is starting in net. The game is on Sportsnet West and Pacific right now. I believe the game is on later on Ontario and West tonight after the Montreal and Ottawa game, not sure when. Barberio is also playing.

Can't figure why the Q would schedule this on a Monday night with all the weekend games they schedule, they don't even get a day to practise together...plus the Habs playing and retiring Robinson's jersey...stupid.

People with only Sportnet east can't watch it cause of the Sens. I know most people prob have rogers digital cable but those that don't have that or a dish can't even watch. I have better things to do then watch that but just weird that they couldn't make this game tomorrow instead.

Maybe they wanted to give both teams an extra day to make it out of Chicoutimi alive and with a police escort. Them fans can get pretty rowdy.

3-1 Russia after 1st Barberio -2 Riopel 3 goals on 8 shots I've always said Riopel struggled under pressure...which is why he wont be traded to a contending team

What are you basing your opinion on? A few playoff games in his rookie season?

I know it's not all his fault, but I seem to hear a lot of "weak" goals going in on him, from his owns fans, when the big saves are needed. Riopel is not a bad goalie...he is a good goalie, not great as some suggest.

This is his 2nd year ... he was drafted at 16 during our Mem Cup year and sent back to midget during training camp as we needed more veteran goaltenders (ultimately Tordjman and Sniderman). He was a rookie last year just as Tardif was.
