I am not against giving Champion lots of ice time in MAJHL but he might be ready for Junior Major.....
After a Tournament in Maine where he did very well, he played 120 minutes so far in the League:
WS Nicholas Champion 2 120 58 4 54 0.931 2.00 2 0 0
Champion reminds me of Russo at 17 YO and he is very skilled.
We might need him much quicker than expected.
I have nothing against Legault or Tardif but there is a goaltender knocking very loudly at the door.
Nice to see that we got a good backup in case of injury.

Just chsb being chsb.
One game does not a season make. I think Tardif was a tad nervous for the opener and should be fine. Champion IMO is at the level he should be this season. He had some decent games for us in pre-season but it was against many who will not lace them up in the Q.

Jordan Bernier is also doing well so far in AAA...3 goals 1 assist in 3 games.
Gabriel Cote isnt doing that great points wise, although he is on the 2nd line...2 games no points.
Mathieu Jean-Boulianne with Trois-Rivieres...4 games 0 points.

Yeah, but since we have no injury and just came off a game where Tardif let in a couple shaky ones, it just looked like you were commenting about him.......just bad timeing or worded badly maybe?....... |
