why would anyone want to sit in the upper bowl if they are already paying lower bowl prices? and how would charging 17.00 for an upper bowl seat be an improvement?

Reguarding attendence has anybody taken a look at ticket prices. Top 4 teams for building attendence are Quebec City holds 15,399 HIGH TICKET PRICE $12.00 Halifax Holds 10,595 High ticket price $14.50 Moncton holds 6297 High ticket price $15.50 Saint John hold 6297 High ticket price $17.00 Horseshoe $15.00 Lower Bowl $13.00Upper Bowl These prices are all adult prices and taken out of the QMJHL site Is there any reason from what I saw was that Saint John is the only one team that has 3 price structures for single games (Adult,Senior,Children for each section (Horseshoe,Lower Bowl, Upper Bowl) Saint John high ticket price $17.00 is the highest in the league.Has anybody ever thought of making just 3 prices(Adult,Seniors &students, children ) for all seats.Just for example London 9100 seats ticket prices are Adult $15.50 Senior & student $14.00 Children $13.00 This is just a thought something like this may work for you out there Starting next season the Horseshoe seats will be priced the same as the Lower Bowl seats.

Bjindaho first the $17.00 ticket is taken out of the Q site which is the highest in the league.I see your point I said the same thing here when the London club moved into the JLC. Before that we were in the Ice House and they had 3 ticket seats (reds ,blues ,greens) Highest ticket price reds then blues, greens. The JLC and Harbour Station from what I see are the same set up.The London club did a comprimise on ticket prices with the 3 differnt prices and they had no problems selling tickets.I know people that have season tickets on the third level and they just love it up their.London season ticket base is 6000 with a hold at that number with the remainder tickets 3000 open to public.I am not saying this will work there with you but it might not be a bad thing to look at.This is just a suggestion.

Holy crap! Anybody check out the sports section of the TJ today? It's loaded with Sea Dogs advertising, some player profiles, etc etc. I don't check out the TJ often but it never was loaded like that before when I looked last!

They have been at it for a while. The old Whacky Wheatleys trick of advertising to death. They have to try something.

Hmm. Well I really liked the ads. Too bad they don't work on me because I go to every game already, but hopefully it snags the attention of more people. Also too bad it was the first half of the year that was loaded with home games because the continued level of good hockey should have drawn more in the second half, especially for weekends. We're pretty much on the road for the rest of the year now though.

It should help average attendance and hopefully we'll have more games with the atmosphere being what it was the other night. Too often in the first half we had 2 games in the same weekend or too close together and I think our crowds suffered as a result. Most non-season ticket holders would likely only goto 1. Next season I think they should offer packages of some sort for weekends (or even weeks) with more than 1 game to give non-season ticket holders some sort of incentive to goto more than 1 game.

I never really thought of it that way before and have to actually agree with ya. That likely did hurt a little bit. Combined that with all the games we had in that window before Xmas where a lot of people are busy shopping, or staff parties, and just a lot more hard up for cash and it all likely drags the attendance figure down somewhat. Either way hopefully the home/away schedule is more balanced half by half/month by month next year.

I have been saying for years in Halifax that local games should be put on delay broadcases about two hours after the start of games to see if that will bring in an extra 500 to 1000 fans...

In all honesty if the Fog Devils could have gotten non-season ticket holders to go to one game per series they would have been in much better shape than they ended up in I think. I know a guy and his wife who ride the Park and Ride with us and he told me that's what they do. I said to myself if more fans were like you the team would do much better at the gate. Saint John fans should appreicate the team that they have. Forget about the Flames. They are not coming back, and in all honesty I think the Sea Dogs are better anyway.

Agree with the weekend ticket package. The Sea Dogs should consider handing out there magnet scheds before the season actually starts.

I caught the moncton game yesterday and they seemed to have a lot of empty seats as well. They were louder in cheering but seemed to be a large amount of empty seats. Wonder if attendance is just our problem or other other teams having problems too?
