Its great to showcase the SeaDogs, a talented young team. But who was smoking their breakfast and wanted to show them against a team that could probably not even compete at Junior A. Me thinks it wont be pretty,

The scary part might be that it's the final game in 3 days and if ya think Drummondville won't be up for this game your crazy this is their Memorial Cup being on Sportsnet at home.

This is going to be the biggest game of the year for them! If you don't think this team can play tough maybe you should ask some of the teams they played that are near the top of the standings including your beloved Moose! How bout the game the Moose won 5-2 but they were only down 3-2 after 2 or maybe the game the Moose won 3-1 but were tied 0-0 after 2 periods? They've also had good games against BC, RN and Saint John. They were actually winning over BC going into the 3rd in one game. I'm not saying they are a great team but they will be up for this game there is no doubt about it. I think this is the biggest game of the year for Drummonville not to mention the tail end of a 3 in 3 for Saint John. Which team has more to lose in this game? My guess would be Saint John because Drummondville has absolutely nothing to lose!

The Dogs have not been what you would call stellar lately. The boys have looked as if they have dropped a step or two. 3 in 3 on a road trip is never a good thing. They are so tired they have not even practiced yet this week. Given all that, there is a good chance that Drummondville will prove to be a tough game for us. This is not a particularly tough road trip looking at the competition on paper but travelling through Quebec is never an easy time. We will be introduced as the number one team in the East and there will be a lot of talk about certain players and their abilities. Let's hope that JB has used the lines wisely so we don't look bad getting knocked off by the worst team in the league. Plus once our boys find out they are on National TV they might play a bit differently. Can't wait to see how they react to the pressure of playoff like atmosphere. This will be a good test of character prior to the playoffs. They know a lot of other teams will be watching.

SEA DOGS SET TO MAKE NATIONAL TELEVISION DEBUT THIS WEEKEND ON ROGERS SPORTSNET
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Thursday, February 7, 2008
SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs will be appearing on national television for the first time in franchise history this coming weekend, as their road match versus the Drummondville Voltigeurs will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet as the network’s CHL Game of the Week. The broadcast will begin at 9:00pm Atlantic Time on Sunday, February 10, and can be seen locally on Rogers Cable channel 22.
“We’re thrilled to be featured on the CHL Game of the Week,” said Sea Dogs President Wayne Long. “Our franchise has experienced incredible growth this season, and appearing on a nationally televised game like this really demonstrates just how far we’ve come.”
In their only previous meeting this season, the Sea Dogs defeated the Voltigeurs by a score of 5-4 at Harbour Station on January 24. Payton Liske scored the game-winning goal in that match, while Keven Charland was named the contest’s First Star after netting a pair of tallies and firing four shots on goal.
The Sea Dogs are currently in first place in the QMJHL East with a record of 34-14-1-3. Saint John’s next home game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 13 versus the Moncton Wildcats. Fans aged fifty and higher can purchase tickets to the 7:00pm contest for the price of $5. Students can also take advantage of this special offer, provided they present a valid I.D. at time of purchase.
Information on all Sea Dogs ticketing options can be obtained by calling the team’s front office at (506) 657-DOGS (3647).

Well, for one, the game in Drummondville was the end of a 3 in 3 (actually a 4 in 5) for us... and in both games we played them, they still had Paris and Cacciotto, and Gougeon played a ridiculous game in Halifax. I dont think they've won since the trading period have they? You guys should kill them on National TV...

This is also the end of a 3 in 3 for the Sea Dogs and I'm pretty sure they weren't doing all that much better even with those 3 players lol
Either way I hope your right but like I said this is the biggest game of the year they are not gonna wanna look bad on national TV in their own barn no less they will be ready I'm sure.
Thay being said I hope we kick their ass and show the country what we got.

I'm not complaining about who they play they will get some national airtime that not many others in our division get. Good for the Dogs, I'll be watching.

Sportsnet did a great job covering and promoting the Sea Dogs during the broadcast, job well done.
