Hey Everyone...
The Lewiston MAINEiacs fan bus trip group is coming to see the Lewiston MAINEiacs play the Sea Dogs on Sunday, February 24, 2008.
We have been invited to have breakfast with them.
Date: Sunday, February 24, 2008
Place: Rocky's Sports Bar
Time: 9:00 AM
Let's give them a warm Saint John welcome & come out and meet their fans!!

Lewiston has awesome fans. I'd have loved to pay them a visit again but unfortunately I'll be in Florida at this time.
I encourage others to go out and meet them though. They are an awesome group of people. (and their rink mixes a heavy drink too.) ;D

I remember a couple times over the past two years leaving Harbour Station after games thinking how nice the Lewiston fans seemed. I'd love a chance to come out and say hi, and if he's around, I'd love to meet robkennedy, probably my favourite broadcaster in the East Division. Thanks for the advance notice!

Thanks for the kind words, JPM. The minute I saw this event, I looked into making the trip to Saint John. My last trip up there was last season, as a spectator not a broadcaster, and I ended up buying a beer for a Saint John fan 2 rows back with whom I had a heated argument! That's hockey, though, isn't it? Passion during the game, kicking back a beer afterwards...or in this case, breakfast beforehand.
However, I can't make this trip, as I'm working the HS Basketball tournament Saturday night, and arriving for 9 AM in Saint John would be a tall order (especially with making it home for work Monday morning at 7!). But I'll be up there for our playoff series--I still think that matchup will come true for the postseason!
Hope you all have fun....and sadly, gatherings like these between our two fan bases may be fewer and further between, and I expect Lewiston to be moved out of Saint John's division next season.
