Gotta throw Mayer up in the career shutouts category...tied for first in team history after only 4 Q-League starts!

Dogs has him on the shutout board. Also interesting to note that Mayer is now 4th in wins, behind Churchill 14, Fullerton 10, and Joyal 8.
Dido only needs 11 points now to become the second Dog to 100.

With Mayer getting his second shut out of the season he has now set a new franchise record.

Check out what Whitlock has done since leaving the Dogs. Huge numbers in BC and undefeated in the CIS this year. Too bad he never got a chance here becuase he has come full circle. Getting a University education and playing good hockey. And the others are doing what exactly? ? Perhaps they are delivering papers like some of our posters. LMAO Goalies: Wins Churchill 14 Joyal 8 Fullerton 8 Dopud 2 Barton 2 Losses Churchill 44 Fullerton 20 Joyal 18 Whitlock 11 Barton 7 Minutes Churchill 3448.44 Fullerton 1706.34 Joyal 1610.16 Whitlock 787.01 Barton 518.51 Shutouts Churchill 1 GAA Churchill 4.16 Fullerton 4.25 Dopud 4.81 Barton 4.86 Joyal 4.99 SV % Churchill .894 Fullerton .874 Joyal .862 Barton .860 Whitlock .854 Dangerous Shot % Barton 42% Whitlock 38% Fullerton 36% Churchill 35% Joyal 33% Shootout SV % Joyal .889 Barton .700 Churchill .619 Fullerton .571 Whitlock .429 (0 SOG on Dopud) Didnt Whitlock get 1 win, lmfao ;D

The former Sea Dog stat update thread has most of our former players. Not sure where Joyal or Churchill are.

Oh good lord who gives a shit about Riley Whitlock? Really. Churchill was overworked our first year and Whitlock should have gotten into more games than he did, but Churchill was a better goalie than Whitlock at that time.
Then the following year Whitlock would have been a 20. Lets say we used him instead of Joyal. We still would have been in need of picking up Fullerton at Xmas anyway.
So why the fuss over Whitlock "not getting a chance"? He would have what? Got into like 5-10 more games our first year, and maybe been the starter for half a year to follow? Bottom line is we still would have sucked just as bad as we did with Joyal and Barton.
Whitlock should be thankful he didn't have to be the starter on the teams for those 2 years.

Whitlock should have played more games early the first year, and less late. But he was not going to make the team the next year as a 20. We HAD to trade for someone better.

Ryan Sparling broke the team record for career games played on September 16th when he skated in his 137th game in Charlottetown. I think tonight might be #150 but I don't remember how many games he missed with the shoulder injury......congrats on #150 Ryan whenever it happens.
