This weekends games Away with Acadie -Bathurst and home with Lewiston & Moncton are big for this team.First tonight they win big against Acadie-Bathurst 9-2. Next on line is Lewiston without their goalie Bernier(World Juniors ) Saint John has a good chance for a win. This game is big in the standings asSaint John has 2 games in hand and a win would move Saint John farther ahead of Lewiston.Sundays game against Moncton bottom dwellers in this division Do not take them lightly as anything can happen in Junior hockey. Also Danny Flynn (Moncton coach and JB no each other as they had some good games when the Sault Marie Greyhounds & London Knights met in the OHL).Overall after Fridays game Saint John had 4 games in hand Cape Breton ,2 games in hand Halifax & 2 games in hand Lewiston.I can see this team in excellant shape to finish first in their Division as everybody knows you have to win the games in hand to be sucessful and I know JB will be telling this team that also.As for deals I can see JB standing pat with what he has.Remember Saint John fans this team will make you happy this year but watch out for the next couple as this team will be the talk of the Q if not the whole CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

Well the weekend finished and it was a big one for the Sea Dogs 3 games ,3 wins and now they are sitting in first place in the Eastwern Division. Remember they still have 4 games in hand on Cape Breton ,one on Halifax,2 games on Lewiston.Things are looking good right now keep going at this pace and first place will be theirs but as you know this is Junior Hockey and any thing can happen. As for the next 3 games they are on the rock (ST. John NL) This team St.John is in a battle for 5 place and these next 3 games are big for them in the battle for 5th place. I think the sea dogs will take 2 out of 3 games there but a sweep there is not out of the question.Again congrats on the dogs big weekend and I can see them keeping it on track to bigger things

The rock is probably the hardest place to play to steal games from in this leauge. Going to be tough imo.

Yeah, whoever was crying about no Nationals ranking last time around will finally rest easy. I'm sure the Dogs will get the #9-10 spot. Still doesn't matter a bit, but for those who care it's gonna happen.
Man, the Dogs have got good in a hurry! Going exactly according to plan I'd say, luckily JB corrected alot of the errors left behind by Larue and Tipper in record time.

Still doesn't matter a bit I think it does matter, not so much to the team but to the organization. There's still an attendance problem. Anything to boost the hype helps.

Foggies are playing some good hockey right now and three wins for them would be huge so don't start counting wins yet. However with four games in hand and Gatineau only three points ahead we could be in first place overall in the Q. The Dogs are on fire and a top ten ranking would be huge not only for the fans but a huge motivational boost for the boys.

Big weekend for sure....way to go dogs, with those three wins the Sea Dogs finished the month with another 16 of a possible 22 points, again around the 70% mark at 72.7% of total points possible.
Nice to look at the standings board in the north-east corner of the building and see our boys at the top. After the last couple of years of seeing them at the bottom, it almost seems strange.
Congrats to "Passy" on the win yesterday, must be a well liked guy, because the boys really rallied around him during the game and especially afterwards during the crease celebration. Nice to see his patience and hard work pay off with some game time and a big win to put the team in first place alone atop of the standings for the first time in team history. Once again way to go Troy nice game and congrats. on your first win in the CHL.
Couldn't respond to a thread on the big weekend without mentioning Picard-Hooper, what a performance after being out of the lineup...11 points in 3 games, this is what we were expecting to see from Alex when he was brought in, nice to see that the fans of the Dogs have been patient with him, and havn't gotten on his case for "underachieving"...hopefully he can keep it going.
During the Tit an game on Friday night News 88.9 had an interview with J.B. and he was saying that the team would be going with the Kirkpatrick line against the other teams top guys to give our 2 offensive lines more chance to put numbers up on the board, because he seen us as a good defensive team, but needed to get more opportunity to score goals and break out offensivly.....seems to be working well.
Great weekend by the entire team, and only one more thing to say ...GO DOGS GO!!

Hooper averaging ove a point per game and I don;t recall people on his case but I could be wrong. Nice to see his +/- tighten up a little as well. I think in his last 10 games of so he is averaging over two points a game.

people questioned the move early, though he pulled his socks up and has been contributing mightily.

Hooper started off slow due to missing an entire training camp and looked really out of shape. I was wondering if this would happen again with the long lay off with his knee injury but he has picked up where he left off.

I never looked this up to check accuracy but yesterday after the Moncton game the radio guys said Hooper has 28 points in his last 11 games played. Pretty damn impressive right there. ;D

something like that, because his last POW would be in his last 11, and he had 10 in 3 that week i believe.
