Why do you not see any of our stars getting run. We played Bathurst and Cape Breton this weekend with out Gallant and yes it was fairly quiet. Whys that . Gallant was at the Ottawa rookie camp and Bathurst came in and tried to run us out of our own building. Legroes rag dolled one of our best players, sending him of the ice face full of blood. Brett came back and fought Legros and im not sure hes played since. Two weeks ago in Cape Breton ,Clendending started roughing up Dido , Gallant came out followed him around the ice and that ended that. Later CB tough guy came out and Brett wooled him so bad he left the team. Both these teams players and coaches knows Gallant from his reputation of looking after his team mates. Your right not many players taking shots at our stars but theirs a big reason for that and anyone that knows anything about the Seadogs knows what that is.I enjoy going to the games we have a very good team with a bit of everything.I like lots of scoring along with some good defensive play and Goaltending. I also like the feeling that if need be we have one of the best if not the best enforcers in the league to straighten out things if need be. Exactly my point!

I like Gallant but we have Pisano in the wings to be our next tough guy.

Was talking to Gallant on Saturday night at the game and he said that he hopes the Doctors will let him play by the end of the week. Also Hooper is hoping to be back then also. Both seem to be healing good.

I have to agree that although he is a fan favourite the winning has continued and the fans are happy. He is not here next year anyway so if we can get anything for him why not? I don't see our scorers getting banged around I just see them scoring goals and winning games. Am I missing something or does not our record speak for itself. I see the team being a bit tired but I have not noticed anyone pounding our forwards anymore than they did at the start of the year. In fact Dido appears to be throwingn what weight he has around himself. I see teh goon age as being over in the Q in the next year or so. IMO Dido owes Brett a lot of steak dinners. The way he yaps and needles the other teams, he'd be getting banged around like a pinball if nobody had to pay the price.

Can't fool us all Not trying to fool anybody.....the longer he is out, the better it is for the team and they can actually get a player in his spot that should be there...... He never missed 5 games due to that fight though......they said he could have played after 2....... he was doing full practices and never missed any time for the cut from his visor.........he's just a guy that won't get into a lot of games, and IMO is a waste of a roster spot........the few games he has played, he's taken some stupid penalties trying to get people to fight............I like the new guy they brought in better.....about the same size and a way better skater...Leroux.....he doesn't look out of place playing the game either..........IMO, Legros had his chances and isn't good enough, so it's time to let him go........ btw.....you won't hurt my feelings talking about him, cause I don't think he's much of a fighter or a player......

I am impressed with the toughness I am seeing form a lot of guys and I do ot see us getting tossed around. We are taking it to teams and even when we are tired we are winning games. If Gallant was 18 I might say keep him around but he will never be here as a twenty. If I though we were getting muscled I would say let's keep him around but all I see is the DOGS keep winning so really to me it makes no difference and it only makes our skaters on ice better when he is not there. Keep him or trade him who cares.

The Gallant thing is tough for me because I love the fighters and he is a great insurance policy in case some team starts taking liberties against our better players. That said we all know you don't use a 20 slot on someone like Gallant when you are making a run at a championship, so that means he doesn't fit into the plans next year. Thus if someone offered like a 5th round pick for him this year...I'd think you'd have to take it. That pick might turn into a player you can use in a few years. Gallant at best would be useful to us for half a year.
Sucks, cuz I like the role he plays and he's a great guy and always has time to chat with the fans, but that's how it stands I guess. If the trade offer is just some crappy very late round draft pick though...I'd rather keep Gallant for that half year to be honest and say screw your 10th round choice. ;D

his brother is doing a good job for the rocket as a twenty. brett could do the job as a twenty. maybe not with the dogs but somewhere. but if not the caps would love him next year. but he will find what is best for him. another good showing in the sens camp he could end up somewhere.

The difference is that Brad actually has some decent offensive skill.

Noticed on the Rocket site Brad getting some pp and picking up some pts.Brett has not had that but would be nice to shove him out front of the net on a odd pp and watch them try and move him. This would be the same with Thomas, would pick up some addition pts and would also ber very hard to move.
