I doubt youll see that fight. This one will be remembered for a long long time. Ugly result to that fight. Sucks getting hit in the nose early, but credit to Legros for staying in there.

Legros landed a few early but as soon as Legros's helmet popped off, it was over. Gallant got a big shot in to the nose and Legros left a bloody mess. (actually he might have busted his nose through the face shield- it was hard to tell)

After Brett broke all his knuckles in his right hand on Legros' face he had to switch to his left where he did the same. Legros never had a chance.

Awesome win for the Sea Dogs not alot of goals but still a great game goaltending was awesome at both ends Fullerton made some huge saves to get the game to OT.
Just finished watching the Rocket / Tigres game another OT game that was fun to watch.
Blanchard made an amazing save and Monohan had 4 goals including the OT winner!

Great game by the Sea Dogs again. 7 wins 3 losses...I never would have predicted that. Nice to see us pull out another close one too after losing so many of those in the second half last year.
Going to give Legros credit...he's a tough kid and has my respect. He got whooped tonight for sure but after being injured last year fighting Gallant, and being busted open tonight, he still would not give up. I doubt he thinks twice about fighting Gallant again. He knows his role and does his job without hesitation.

SEA DOGS WIN THRILLER AT HARBOUR STATION
Saint John Earns Seventh Win of the Season In a Shootout Over Acadie-Bathurst
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Sunday, October 14, 2007
SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs earned their fifth consecutive win at Harbour Station on Sunday afternoon, besting the visiting Acadie-Bathurst Titan by a score of 2-1 in what was an unrelentingly exciting, highly competitive hockey game that saw a tremendous amount of action at both ends of the ice.
After no goals were scored by either team during the course of the opening 40 minutes on Sunday, Acadie-Bathurst’s Tomas Svoboda and Saint John’s Keven Charland exchanged markers in the third period to send the match into overtime. After a scoreless extra period produced no winner, a shootout took place, with Chris DiDomenico scoring the lone goal to propel the Sea Dogs to victory and send the 4.079 fans in attendance into an unabashed frenzy as their team pulled to within two points of the idle Halifax Mooseheads for second place in the QMJHL East.
Travis Fullerton made 31 saves on the afternoon in net for Saint John, adding three stops during the shootout as he earned his third win of the season along with a First Star of the Game selection. Fullerton’s counterpart, Titan net minder Antoine Tardif, also played well on Sunday, making 36 saves on 37 shots to earn a Second Star of the Game nod.
The opening five minutes of Sunday’s match saw each team registering solid scoring chances, but both goalies stood their ground early, setting the tone for the remainder of the match.
The Sea Dogs very nearly scored at the midway point of the opening frame, as, on the power play, Alexandre Picard-Hooper unleashed a hard, low shot from the slot that Tardif managed to get a pad on, keeping the home team off the scoreboard in the process. Two minutes later the Dogs had another glorious scoring chance, as, from the corner, Keven Charland set up Michael Kirkpatrick for a one-timer from close range, but Tardif was once again up to the task, deflecting the rookie’s shot into the corner.
With just under four minutes remaining in the first, Travis Fullerton came up with a pair of big saves that kept the score knotted at zeroes; the veteran net minder stoned Brad Tesnik on a breakaway, and also stopped the subsequent rebound to add to his soon-to-be-lofty saves total.
Saint John’s defensive special teams unit then stepped up big in the closing minutes of the first, killing off a two-man disadvantage as both David Stich and Matthew Stoddard sat in the penalty box.
The Sea Dogs were awarded a 5-on-3 of their own 7:36 into the second period, but some acrobatic goaltending work by Tardif and a few bad bounces resulted in a frustratingly unproductive double-PP for Saint John.
Tardif finished the middle frame with 17 saves, while Fullerton was also unbeatable in the period, stopping all six Titan shots sent his way as the second intermission got underway with the scoreboard still reading 0-0.
Regulation’s final frame commenced with Acadie-Bathurst taking another penalty, as Mathieu Perrault was assessed a two-minute minor 0:03 into the third period. Despite a flurry of offensive chances, the Dogs’ PP was yet again kept at bay by the Titan, who wound up going 8-for-8 on the PK on Sunday.
The Titan were awarded a power play of their own at the 2:24 mark of the third, as Jeff McNeil incurred a kneeing call. The visitors were able to capitalize on their transient numerical advantage, with a Tomas Svoboda ricocheting off of a pair of skates on the way to the back of the Saint John net.
The Sea Dogs responded quickly however, as Keven Charland tallied his second goal of the season with 15:41 remaining in regulation to tie the score at one apiece.
A substantial amount of quality play at both ends of the ice took place during Sunday afternoon’s game’s final quarter, with the epic goaltending duel continuing to supersede each team’s offensive efforts as the end of regulation grew ever-nearer. As the match reached the sixty minute mark, a winner was still yet to be determined, and overtime was required, marking the first time this season that he Sea Dogs have played beyond the third period.
In the extra session, Acadie-Bathurst registered several legitimate scoring chances early on prior to being awarded a 4-on-3 power play after Alex Grant received a boarding call three minutes into OT. The Sea Dogs’ PK unit was able to keep the Titan from scoring during their two minute PP however, with Chris DiDomenico diving to block a Carl Chamberland slap shot as time expired to send the match into a shootout.
Vancouver Canucks prospect Charles-Antoine Messier shot first for the Titan, failing to score on an ill-fated deking attempt. Alexandre Picard-Hooper was subsequently unable to score for Saint John, with Tardif blocking his shot with a quick right pad to keep the shootout tied 0-0.
After Washington Captials draft pick Mathieu Perrault was unable to beat Fullerton in the second round, Saint John’s leading scorer Chris DiDomenico coasted into Acadie-Bathurst’s zone prior to ripping a wrist shot over Tardif’s glove to put Saint John up 1-0 in the offensive showcase.
“Coach (Jacques) Beaulieu told me I should shoot, so that’s what I did and it worked out pretty well,” said DiDomenico after the game.
The Titan’s third shooter, Dany Masse, rang his scoring attempt off of Saint John’s crossbar, giving the Sea Dogs the hard-fought victory as they improved to 7-3-0-0 on the year.
Saint John next hit the ice on Saturday, October 20 for a 7:00pm contest versus the Gatineau Olympique. The following afternoon the Sea Dogs will face the Rimouski Oceanic at 4:00pm. Both matches will take place at Harbour Station.

Didnt say he would think twice fighting Gallant, just thinking twice on who to pick on, like Sparling. He picks on Sparling or anyone else like that, he knows he'll be getting a pissed off Gallant next. Legros is tough. Not the best fighter in the world, but tough as nails. If coach tells him to pound on Sparling again, he will, even with knowing Gallant will come pounding on him once more. I know what you meant though. I just don't think a guy like Legros even cares about that. He knows what he is there to do and he does it, win or lose.
