For whatever reason, the d is playing harder in front of Mayer. While they are both working their butts off, Mayer is facing 28% Dangerous Shots while Fully faces 31%.

Meaningless stat in regards to what you are saying. I could counter with the fact that Fullerton is playing the better opposition thus far, and better teams get better scoring chances. Mayer has beaten a very short-staffed Rimouski team, twice. PEI twice, when PEI was really stinking it up. A very tired Quebec team playing it's third game in 3 nights. His loss came to Cape Breton, who surprised everyone out of the gate. I like the combo. It's working for now. Both are playing good. Mayer is getting eased into the league and at 5-1 with 2 shutouts his confidence should be rising.

Any predictions come xmas time with both goalies. Thought it was interesting that Fullerton has brand new equipment with the Dogs logo on it. Wonder if management told him he won't be going anywhere come xmas time.

Fullerton has played the tougher games.

Point being Mayer is 18 and he is going to be a great one. Give him the Cape Breton game over and I think you will see that the nerves are gone. I am not saying anything about Fullerton but just the fact that Mayer is already showing he is worth whatever they paid for him.
