0 games played. BTW, Statistics then 07-08 Players Team will allow you to look at any team's player's stats quickly.I think we can take Moncton...especially if the Dido show keeps rolling. So far, he has 2 GWG and assisted on the third in 5 games. sometimes it's just as easy to ask....might create some conversation, but yes I do know about the stats. page, thanks though speaking of conversation, how about Drew Brees? But anyways, no stats page can tell you when he's coming back so by asking me it's just as easy and you get bonus info which wasn't really info since I didn't tell you when he was coming back lol

I think it'll be a close one, but the Cats come out on top with a 4-3 OT win.

SEA DOGS TAME WILDCATS
Saint John Earns a Dramatic 3-2 Comeback Win Over Moncton at Harbour Station
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Saturday, September 29, 2007
SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs earned arguably their biggest win of the young season on Saturday night, scoring three unanswered goals to vanquish their provincial archrivals, the Moncton Wildcats, by a score of 3-2 at Harbour Station.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first period, the Sea Dogs fought back valiantly on Saturday, scoring the only two goals of the second prior to completing the comeback in the third with a huge power play goal off the stick Alexandre Picard-Hooper. Veteran goaltender Travis Fullerton played exceptionally well against the Wildcats, making 22 saves en route to earning his second win of the year.
“We know Moncton’s a tough opponent and we expect every game against them to be difficult,” said Fullerton after the hard-fought win. “I thought we really pulled together and played well as a team after getting behind early, and the win tonight was definitely a total group effort. We’ve got the best group of guys in the league in terms of character on the Sea Dogs, and that really showed out there on the ice tonight.”
A physical tone was established early on Saturday, as Brett Gallant and Kelan Herr squared off at centre ice 2:37 after the opening draw. Gallant easily took the bout in a unanimous decision to give his team an early boost of confidence.
Despite Gallant’s efforts, the Wildcats were the first to score on Saturday night, as Matt Marquard found the back of the Sea Dogs net 6:18 into the match to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead.
Keven Charland then nearly tied things up at the 9:34 mark of the first, bursting into Moncton’s zone with tremendous speed and getting off a hard backhand attempt that hit the side of the Wildcats net and ricocheted in a disadvantageous direction as the Sea Dogs’ aggressive forwards swarmed the goal crease, anxious to pounce upon the rebound and produce a goal for the home team.
With just over thirty seconds remaining in the opening frame, the Wildcats took a 2-0 lead as Chris Morehouse fired a rebound past Fullerton to earn his third tally of the year.
In the dying seconds of the first, two more fights broke out at centre ice, as an Alexandre Leduc-Zach Sill draw with two seconds on the clock and a Mike Thomas win over Matt Boyle as time expired brought the 3,611 fans in attendance to their feet as the first period came to an end.
The beginning of the second period saw the Sea Dogs successfully killing off a huge two-man disadvantage to regain a substantial amount of momentum as they sought to pull themselves back into the contest.
Moncton’s lead was then cut in half at the 10:08 mark of the middle frame, as Chris DiDomenico beat a sprawling Charles Lavigne with a well-placed shot during a mad scramble in front of the Wildcats net to bring Saint John to within immediate striking distance of the visitors’ lead.
A wraparound goal by Brett Gallant then tied things up at two apiece, as the rugged forward earned his first tally of the season at a highly opportune time. Rookie forward Steven Anthony picked up an assist on the scoring play, giving the 16-year old the first point of his young QMJHL career.
Despite some quality scoring chances late in the second for the Sea Dogs, the score remained 2-2 as Saturday’s contest reached the 40-minute mark.
Moncton opened the third period on a power play, but the Sea Dogs penalty killing unit again thwarted the Wildcats’ attempts at re-taking the lead with their numerical advantage.
Saint John then received a two-man advantage 3:05 into regulation’s final frame; the double-PP was short-lived however, as Payton Liske was assessed a minor penalty twenty-two seconds later. During the subsequent 4-on-3 session, the Sea Dogs registered several shots on goal, but were ultimately unable to take the lead as Lavigne stood his ground abundantly well, highlighted by a huge glove save off of a Francois Gauthier rocket-shot with fifteen minutes and change remaining in regulation.
On the power play, Alexandre Picard-Hooper then produced the go-ahead goal for Saint John, coasting into the slot with the puck prior to unleashing a bullet of a shot that beat Lavigne low and gave the Sea Dogs their first lead of the night with just over five minutes remaining in the third period.
Fullerton made a big save off of Phil Langan with 2:38 remaining in the third, flashing a quick glove to both negate the forward progress of the Moncton centre’s shot and preserve the precarious one-goal lead held by the Sea Dogs.
Saint John’s talented defensive core was able to keep the Wildcats’ forwards at bay from there, and the third period came to an end with the Sea Dogs having earned their fourth win of 2007-08 in dramatic fashion. The Sea Dogs are now 4-2 on the year, and are now tied with Halifax for third place in the QMJHL’s East Division.
The Sea Dogs next hit the ice on October 5 for a Friday evening affair versus the Mooseheads at the Halifax Metro Centre. The following evening, SaintJohn returns to Harbour Station to face the Quebec Remparts in a 7:00pm

Great game by the sea-dogs.congrats to you guys, great team you have there this year, but apparently by a certain titan poster we should have kicked your ass Since when does a Catz fan give credit to a Titan poster? The play was almost 2/3 in the Moncton zone. If it wasn't for their tenacity, sound defense and puck control, and some very nice goaltending, it could have been 5 or 6 to nothing the dogs. The Moncton goals weren't exactly brilliant, not garbage but not the stuff you want to rely on. The fact that the Dogs came back against such a disciplined, tight checking team speaks volumnes about their character. Excelent win indeed. Some great coaching by JB! Loved it when he sent Anthony's line out to settle Morehouse who was picking on Stoddard, and Brett goes and scores! Owned! It was the turning point of the game IMO.

Missed the game tonight as I am out of town in the land of the Mooseheads but I caught the majority of the webcast. Great show of character tonight as the boys battled back from 2 down to defeat the cats. Missed the first, can someone give a run down of the fights? Who stood out?

Very quick recap, ull get a better one later im sure Gallant beat Herr. Not the best fight. Leduc and Sill. Sill controled it. Sill got cut open but landed huge shots on Leduc-Unit. Leduc lost his balance like 3 times
Thomas and Matt Boyle. Thomas won. big time after he got the jersey over the buddies head. After thr fight he skates around with his hand in the air and the #1 Sign

After thr fight he skates around with his hand in the air and the #1 Sign My opinion on the fights are: I think Gallant killed Herr shit did Herr even land 1 punch he got his ass handed to him! Thomas won his fight easy!!! Leduc vs Sill - You can say Sill won the fight but he didn't dominate him alot of the punches thrown didn't even land from either guy give the split decision to Sill but this for me wasn't much of a fight IMO.
