guess no one cares about him. Nice fans. lol What do you expect - no one has seen him play yet. Hopefully they can deal him to another team for a pick, a la Olivier Painchaud.

guess no one cares about him. Nice fans. lol Is it official? any conformation? You know MR Midland some people have a life outside this board. We dont live here!!! Nic had a good camp IMO, but right now who do you take out? Amyot is the only one playing like crap but hes a D. Pard would have to wait his turn. Someone HAS to sit. You all cant play you have to earn your spots and make the most of it ffs

Sucks. I liked Pard. I thought he should have made the team last year. If he had made it perhaps he would have developed more last year and been better for this year, and things wouldn't have ended like this. Like Littlewolf said though, it is what it is, and right now it is hard to insert Pard into the lineup over any other forward.

This is no way to treat your future young players, if jb is going to sit all players good enough to make this team and only get into the lineup when someones playing really bad or has an injury than they will get really rusty or just plain pissed off . And what about the players that are playing every single game ,they are going to burn themselves out by christmas , they need to get a day off sooner or later. As far as who would he replace , how about young charland to start with, what is pards motivation to ride the bench anyway, maybe the thought of getting into the lineup . Maybe jb told him not unless someone gets hurt, to bad i really thought nick deserved a chance to play.

NICOLAS PARD LEAVES SEA DOGS FOR CJAHL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Monday, October 1, 2007
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Head Coach/General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that 17-year old forward Nicolas Pard has left the team for personal reasons. Pard will join the Joliette Action of the CJAHL (Canadian Junior A Hockey League) in his home province of Quebec.
“We were very surprised to hear of Nicolas’ decision, but wish him the best of luck with the Action,” said Beaulieu. “He felt this was a move he needed to make in order to develop as a hockey player, and we definitely respect his choice to play in the CJAHL and be closer to his home.”
Pard, a native of Saint-Bruno, QC, was originally drafted by Saint John in the fourth round (67th overall) of the 2006 QMJHL Entry Draft. The 5’11, 152 lb. winger saw action in two games with the Sea Dogs in 2006-07, but has yet to see any playing time this year. He remains Sea Dogs property as part of the team’s expanded 50-man roster.
The Sea Dogs (4-2) are currently on a three-game winning streak after having defeated the Moncton Wildcats by a score of 3-2 this past Saturday night at Harbour Station. Saint John next hits the ice this coming Friday, October 5, for a road contest against the 4-2 Halifax Mooseheads. The following night, the Sea Dogs return to Harbour Station for a 7:00pm match versus the Quebec Remparts on Saturday, October 6. Tickets to this Saturday’s game are available by calling the Harbour Station Box Office at (506) 657-1234.

I'd have to take a guess at this point that he knows what he's doing. Obviously if Nick brought more than any of the other guys in the lineup, he'd be there. I don't blame him for going back where he'll play alot more, but I have to laugh at how JB gets bashed so much. The man has done a great job, and continues to do so. Good luck to Nick Pard.

Skillwise Nick is up there and has a possible great future here. He can still use some strength. I'd rather see him there than ride the pines here.
We may even see him back at Christmas if any unloading happens.
Now on to Passingham amd McDonald ...

Sounds like Nic was getting fed up with his role on the team(can anyone really blame him) He's a young kid who just wants to play and contribute to the team...With the depth at forward the way it is he probably knew he wasn't going to see much icetime again this year and just decided to give up on this dream while he still has a chance to fit in with a team closer to home...can't say I blame him, when I was 17 I may have made the same descision...best of luck in the CJAHL Nic hope you have a great year.....(sidenote), do the Dogs keep his rights or get something for him? Can't see him coming back here, while JB is in charge at least.

A little too early to be worrying about people burning out and needing days off to make it through the year. Plus we're playing good right now. Pard would have got his chance but not likely until the team starts to struggle, or someone looks tired, is minorly banged up, etc etc. You don't tinker with the lineup when you are 4-2 and on a three game winning streak.

Good god people calm down!!! 1 day JB is god the next day hang him!!!! Ashtrayface you are starting to get the same respect as penquins23, grease unit, and trouty!!! Kids leave their teams every year, for various reasons!! You wouls ? Pards will to play if he was happy with his role!! Its just the business thats all. Everyone cannot be happy. Like Leask said 6 games in is no time to bolt for greener pastures!!! Nobody is hurt, sick or tired yet. Just the unimformed JB bashers. You all deserve Larue and Flipper back!!! Then you have reason to bitch!!!!
