Good god people calm down!!! 1 day JB is god the next day hang him!!!! Ashtrayface you are starting to get the same respect as penquins23, grease unit, and trouty!!! Kids leave their teams every year, for various reasons!! You wouls ? Pards will to play if he was happy with his role!! Its just the business thats all. Everyone cannot be happy. Like Leask said 6 games in is no time to bolt for greener pastures!!! Nobody is hurt, sick or tired yet. Just the unimformed JB bashers. You all deserve Larue and Flipper back!!! Then you have reason to bitch!!!! Good post Mr. Wolf I agree with what you say and have no idea why JB is even involved in this thread. It was Pard's decision to leave over lack of playing time but there is just no way he would be able to take anyones place in the lineup. The young rookies are playing very well and there is no reason to change the lineup for the sake of getting a fringe player some icetime. I liked what I saw in Pard in preseason, has a real nice shot but there is just no room with the way Anthony, kirkpatrick and Thomas are playing. Like others are saying, it is a shame he jumped ship so early into the season.

JB is involved in this thread because he doesn't communicte with the players at all. They need to know what is expected of them, their roles on the team, and whether they should expect to play or not. Don't leave them in the stands not knowing any of that. If no one gets injured, how long would you sit there! I know 6 games does not make a season, but after the 20 year olds left, and he didnt play and with the potential of another coming.......the writing is on the wall!
Bottom line: At 17 years of age, how long would you sit in the stands without knowing this? These kids just want to play hockey!

Umm...any player should know that their time will come eventually. Not always when someone gets seriously hurt. Say a Kirkpatrick has a bruised shoulder and could play if it was important, but being the 22nd regular season game, you sit him to rest and play Pard. The team gets struggling...you bring Pard in and shuffle things up. Someone starts floating out there. You bench them and play Pard. Somebody just goes into a slump. You play Pard. You shouldn't need a coach to tell you all those things, just like you shouldn't need anyone to tell you that when all the players are contributing and the team is on a winning streak you go with the status quo. Geez.
I'm not faulting Pard here. If he wanted to be closer to home and play on a team where he'd have a large role, fine. But to say he left because JB didn't communicate to him is retarded. It was plainly a choice between the sure thing of playing closer to home and getting lots of icetime, versus waiting for the chance to get in the lineup and hoping to play good enough that you stick while knowing if you don't tear it up, you're back in the stands.

You and anyone else are entitled to their opinion, ashtray. What you seem to want though is to be able to voice your opinion and have everyone agree with you, or have the disagreers remain silent. Too bad.

Speaking of billets, I spoke with Pard's before he left. He said that Pard had talked to the coach, was told he was doing okay, and that he would get a shot as soon as anything changed. That kinda seems like the opposite of "lack of communication" to me. Pard was impatient, and he made a decision. I hope it all works out for Nic in the future, but I don't see how this can be blamed on Jacques...

Well put by most everyone here... ashtrayfoot and hotdog sorry to say but your opinions here are definitely in the minority here. Makes it look more like you are opportunistic JB bashers than anything else. And as Leask said, who told you you can't have an opinion? Everyone does, just don't cry foul when everyone disagrees with you.
Unfortunately I predict Pard may regret his brash move as the season rolls on. Too bad. Even though these are kids, at the end of the day you gotta figure he's not the team player he really needs to be to make it with the Dogs.
