BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, October 2, 2007 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced the winners of the offensive, defensive and rookie player of the month awards for September. The players were chosen by a committee mandated by the League.

The defensive player of the month is Val-d’Or Foreurs goaltender Raffaele D’Orso. The Val-d’Or backstop registered three wins, including a shutout, in six starts while posting a 2.03 goals-against-average and .940 save percentage. D’Orso will be counted upon to lead his team back to the promise land this season following their 2006-07 President Cup run.
