How much stock should be put into Gallant coming to Saint John?? Not much considering we would need to give up 2 20's to allow Gallent to play as he is a 20yr. Well it doesn;t seem like the team is happy with either Charland or Knox......................Charland has already been out of the lineup injured and if Knox is off the top 2 lines then he is wasted...........Knox is a goal scorer not a grinder.

If JB is willing to drop both 20's im sure he could find a better 20 then gallent even through he has the fists and offense sea dogs could use..

I look at it this way if they were to release Knox would anyone thinks it's worth it to trade F. Charland for Brad Gallant? I know it's not a trade but it would be basically dropping Charland to sign Gallant

Gallant will be attending a AHL camp tryout with the Syracuse Crunch so I doubt he is available for a bit. Considering Gallant was cut from the Eagles I don't see him lasting too long at AHL camp. I'm not exactly sure why so many fans here are so antsy to add a 3rd line 20 year old when you already have too many 20's as it is.

Basically I've really yet to see anything from Knox or Charland that's been overly impressive at all. I wanted Knox to be a success as much as anybody but it's just not happening and it sucks but it's true! Charland has already missed 2 games out of the first 4

Knox will be gone for sure. How else do you explain him being put on the 4th line yesterday in his "showcase" opportunity to stick with the team. He barely played, although he played hard when he did. Knox will leave town with some cash in his pocket for school and plenty of thoughts about what might have been. For a guy coming off heart problems in the summer, he has a great argument for never really being given a chance to show what he can do. But this is a business I guess.
F. Charland, will likely be the next to go since his work ethic and lack of testicles is borderline disgusting. And he gets hurt all the time.
I"m not sure Brad Gallant is the answer since our team is pretty tough, but at least he has balls.

Ill take a 20 year old 3rd liner from the team you had last year ,that was loaded with offensive talent.IF I remember right Laberge was your 3rd line centre and this year hes your first. I think that he would not only bring toughness and some offense but some charactor and some playoff experince which our young team could use .Go for it.

Like what Gallant would bring here. Would definitly open some room for your young skilled players. Missed the game last night but i see Knox played. I like this kid how did he do.

We can't reacquire Laberge. A player has to be away for two years before he can be reacquired, therefore Bartos will be the first player that we could reacquire (and Roy-Vallieres if he's young enough).
The team is 2-0 with Knox in the lineup but a lot of that seems to be more about him not screwing up top 6 chemistry than production. He is putting in good energy shifts, whereas F. Charland is actually making his linemates worse out there.
If we drop Knox, and right now he looks like he should only be dropped if we are dropping both, I'd hope for us to acquire someone to bump Gauthier from the top 6, but Gallant would be adequate, for now.
I see a division where one more big move might make us the favorites.

I dunno about the favorites gonna take alot to knock the Mooseheads off the top of the heap they are very deep pretty solid in every department I don't see anyone knocking them off once they get all their players rolling! I do appreciate your optimism though ;D
