That sucks big time..what a way to start the season in front of a nice crowd at the Station...the game just never got going in the SeaDogs favor at any time, nothing..zero momentum...does gallant bring that much to this teams game...the goaltending was less than stellar to say the least...lots of "holes" in the young Swiss tender tonight, seemed like pucks just went through him, 6 goals on 3 dangerous shots says a lot...couple of really nice open ice hits by the Eagles at the line, one on Dido that sent him into a wild 360 and another in the 3rd but I didn't get the #...Stich ,Amyot, Despres, shakey games by all ,lots of mistakes..Mcniel played good '"for him" not to take anything away, Sauve is always solid...Dido seems to be everywhere again this year, usually around the puck...Anthony showed signs of good things to come...Picard..was he here tonight??, sure he'll start to fit into the puzzle..like I said ..Just sucked big time!!!!!

I think that performance can be summed up in one word.....UGLY! The boys seemed flat and disorganized from start to finish. The only guys who looked decent I thought were Leduc, Sparling and McNeil. BTW when are we going to learn to stop taking so many penalties? Losing is one thing but losing at home in the home opener in front of a big crowd really sucks...I doubt we gained any new fans tonight  |

habh8er I think you'd be hard pressed to find many other people to agree with you on Sauve's performance tonight. I thought he sucked for most of the night and at times seemed to be coasting out there. Granted you could say that about most of the team tonight.
As for Mayer...3 goals he had no chance on I'd say, and 3 he could/should/needs to stop. I'd like to see him start against Lewiston on Sunday and see how he rebounds from a big loss. With the pick we used to get him, gotta find out sometime.

I think JB left him in to see what his reaction would be. Lets throw him back in on Sunday and see how he handles it. It is early in the season and we need to see if this kid can handle the load, good, bad or ugly. |

I don't know ..maybe I should have said Sauve was the best of the bad...didn't see the blatant mistakes from him ,like the rest were making though! Not shitting on Mayer in the least , He'll be OK I'm sure...but a couple of real stinkers in there |

I think if JB would like to be long time resident of Saint John he better hire an experienced Major Junior Head Coach and hope that he can do the GM job. A AAA midget goalie held this team to one goal and the overall performance of the team was poor and this before a great crowd. What a surprise, sharrow is back to b*tch about JB. I suppose after every loss this season you'll be back with more of your top-notch insight? Don't hold any of the players accountable for not showing up tonight, blame the one fella you seem to have a personal problem with.  By the way, if JB is responsible for every loss, is he also responsible for every win? Doubt it. |

Anyone else find that the new French announcer at HS sounds like Jean Girard from Talladega Nights? I'd like to hear him say 'I'm coming for you, Ricky Bobby' over the PA sometime!

surly that wasnt the only dangerous shots cape had tonight
