It's a shame that the Rocket now have an excuse for losing and giving up 6 goals again to a team that was supposed to struggle on offense because they are taking away from a solid game by the Sea Dogs.

They blamed their loss to us in PEI due to not having key players back from NHL camp, tonight they blame their loss to us due to the flu, what's next...blaming their next loss to us because of coach Jean???

Looking forward to Saturday when we play a team with a winning record. Let's see if we can carry the momentum from the last two games. Be interesting to see the third and forth lines for this game. I liked seeing Thomas with the extra ice so he can bang around more and really create opportunities for his team mates. However JB appears to like Stoddard even though he praises Thomas up in the press. Our first two lines look set and Hoooooooooooper is a real nice addidition to this team and he can really play well. Go Doggies Go!! Nice win for Mayer as well and a good bounce back from the CB game. He was probably scared to death playing in front of a full house when he is only use to 20 fans.

SCORE you are right the team is suffering from the flu!!!! It seams Brett played the whole game last night thus "THE CHICKEN FLU" broke out all over your bench, Not 1 player wanted to dance last night. Your only bright spot IMO was Latal. Doyle left early, I think Superdog scared him off without his costume..............lol

So do you folks think Anthony will stay on that 4th line for a while? He looked more energetic out there with Gallant and Thomas than I remember in the first few games. He's worked hjard for shifts here and there so far, but this seemed like his most consistent effort. I like the idea of rewarding his effort with a PP shift here and there, because it seems like a really good way to motivate a young guy to work hard every shift, and remind him he's not quite Wayne Gretzky yet.
I liked the "Chicken Flu" comment. Gallant was just politely asking everyone on the ice if he could have the pleasure of the next dance, and they all ran away. I saw him talking to at least 3 different players, and no takers. Thomas was giving a few brotherly shoulder taps in the third and again, no one thanked him for the care and attention. How rude!

He's not the best player, but he does seem to have found a great role on the first line. He brings a decent if not excellent scoring touch, speed, playmaking, and most of all energy. I like him on the off wing. He's still a defensive liability, but that's pretty much hidden when you dominate in the offensive zone and you have Grant/Sauve saving your tail every shift. Great chemistry so far. I hope I can say the same come playoff time.

I think Anthony got in alittle hot water with JB earlier in the week not sure all the details but might explain his 4th line duties.
It was alot of "If Sparling has the puck where the hell is Dido?" ;D

Dogbert, for whatever reason, you seem to have it in for Sparling. Always has been an excellent playmaker, excellent speed great vision. Defensive play is much improved this year, why wouldn;t you just come out and say the defensive portion has improved instead of saying it is a given when they spend so much time in the offensive zone. Wouldn;t there be a reason for that.....like keeping the puck away from the opposition.....is that being defensive...probably not in your eyes. Overall I guess it would be puck protection/posession? He is a good player and works well with the support that is around him today.
