I guess the Sea Dogs have laned their 100pt guy they were looking for so who goes?
It would appear the Jordan Knox experiment is over?
I don't see it being Francis Charland although he did sit out yesterday I don't think that had anything to do with it I cant see them keeping Knox over Charland.
This is awesome!!!

This makes your team very competitive IMO. I really like the way LB has built this team, great young defensemen (not average but IMO game breakers) and now adding a player like Picard-Hooper to the mix who can put some points on the board for picks (although a few might be going back to SJ for players come Christmas as non-twenties cannot be dealt now).

SEA DOGS ACQUIRE PICARD-HOOPER FROM DRAKKAR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Monday, September 17, 2007
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Head Coach/General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that the team has acquired Alexandre Picard-Hooper from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in exchange for a handful of draft picks. The trade sees Saint John’s third and fifth round Entry Draft picks in 2008 head to Baie-Comeau, as well as a third round selection in ‘09. Saint John picks up the Drakkar’s sixth round pick in ’09 in the trade in addition to Picard-Hooper.
“We’re thrilled to be adding Alexandre to our roster,” said Beaulieu. “He has a lot of offensive skill and he’s a proven point producer in this league. He’ll definitely be a welcome addition to the Sea Dogs.”
A native of Montreal, QC, Picard-Hooper has played three full seasons in the QMJHL, all for the Drakkar. In 207 career games, the 5’10”, 190 lb. centre has tallied 114G-141A-255P in addition to 224 PIM. Picard-Hooper’s most productive season came in 2005-06 when he scored 57 goals and dished out 43 assists for 100 points in 70 games played. Last season, the now 20-year old set career highs in both assists (61) and playoff points (11 in 11 games) during another successful campaign with Baie-Comeau.
As a rookie with the Drakkar in 2004-05, Picard-Hooper was named CHL Player of the Week on November 9, 2004 after registering 3G-4A-7P in a three-win week with Baie-Comeau. The left-handed shot finished his freshman campaign with 70GP-25G-37A-62P.
The Sea Dogs currently possess a record of 1-1 on the 07-08 season following an impressive 6-3 road victory over the PEI Rocket on Sunday. Saint John next hits the ice in the team’s Home Opener, scheduled to take place this Friday, September 21 at 7:30pm at Harbour Station.
Season Tickets, Flex Packs, and the new All-Star Mini-Pak are all still available for the upcoming season. Information on all ticketing options can be obtained by calling the Sea Dogs’ office at (506) 657-DOGS (3647).

This is VERY interesting now. Who do the Dogs drop to make room for Picard-Hooper?
I know they can play up until a certain date with 20's, however they can only dress 3.
The next few days are going to be really interesting.
Great work JB, on aquiring that 100 point player!

Funny how one of Picards's mentioned career highlights is a CHL player of the week award from 2004-2005 lol...
Nice pickup, mainly because you guys need more scoring to go with a nicely rounded team, and you have to make the playoffs this year. 3 years without playoffs is too long with a new franchise.
