Woah woah woah. It's not that I hate Fullerton or anything, and I certainly never claimed Kennedy is as good as Fullerton. Just that Kennedy is not 20 and has served the role of backup goalie before. Plus he'd cost nothing it seems to acquire. When you pick Mayer with the pick we used to get him it should mean you are confident he can be your starter and get the job done, and are willing to face any "bumps in the road" he might have during the course of the season. So Mayer starts and surely one of Kennedy, Passingham, Dupod, St. Laurent, etc can be a suitable backup when needed. One thing we've known for sure is that we've lacked goal scoring. Just because we beat PEI 6-3 in one game proves nothing to me. We also only scored 1 goal in our first game after all. Being able to play 3 20's should help improve us in that regard. During that game we scored one goal we didn't have Dido and his two shorties and a PP goal either ;D. We are starting to aquire some depth to go with it...make the call, get it done...I was the one who said not to throw Mayer in the fire too soon...You replied "He played for Switzerland didn't he?"

How much better is Fullerton than Kennedy?
I think like LIMH surely someone can fill the backup role shit there is no risk at all by picking up Kennedy so why not at least bring him in and have a look?

Agreed...one out of the bunch should be the backup....goodbye Fullerton and Knox..hello Hooper, Charland, Brad Gallant ..if it's possible.

I'm not turning on my view, habh8er. Didn't mean to sound that way. Just saying...I never said Kennedy is a better goalie than Fullerton. He is a capable backup though. He's not 20. I say make the move. To me it doesn't matter if it means Kennedy or someone else is Mayer's backup. It doesn't matter if our third 20 (the one other than Hooper and Charland) is Knox or Gallant or whoever. Get a non-20 backup now. Get your 3rd 20 year old offensive player.

In no way is Kennedy a better player then Fullerton however he is a better option due to the age. If JB done this it would defiantly be a good thing no need to waist a 20 in as a back up Kennedy is more then capable of being a back up he just can't handle pressure.

If a 20 spot opened up, I'd like to see JB approach Charette to see if he's interested now.

Come on mvp! I did say Kennedy, Passingham, St. Laurent, Dopud, etc etc. Just a damn non-20 as backup. Kennedy is better than Passingham for sure. In practice and exhibition this kid didn't look Q ready to me. Kennedy also has experience, but I do like Dopud and always have thought he deserved more of a look than we've given him.
Do you sit in section 14? If so this is going to be one long year. ;D
