May be you are reading the wrong part of the message
It would help in bringing back fans by at least them playing 1 game.there was tonnes of hype and not 1 got to play.thats the point!!! I know they are not ready!! This isnt a pom pom rally!!! You dont go take their status to create interest only to make them sit in the stands in the 1 game they could have played to back your interest in these players as for the announcing.......................lmfao can't even find the ball on that one!!!!!

It's a lose lose situation for JB. Taking the stance he did by not playing them in the ex games and cutting him makes people mad. But, if he played Langan or Cormier in the ex games and then fans cut them, they would probably be even more of an uproar. As Hab put it, those dumbkoffs would be saying that they were the best 2 players on the ice and are the 2 best players on the team.

I totally see you point Elementz My point was a team thats trying to lure back fans had an easy chance to creat real interest, not just a story in the local rag!!! but had they played anyways all we would still be wondering about it the announcing.....lol

Hey I'm a fan and they're not making the team is disappointing but I'm not going to stay away from the games because they were cut. With a year of MJAHL seasoning and a desire to play for the home town team they'll be back. It's better they are playing somewhere gaining experience then them watching from the stands it won't bring back the fans and will hurt their development.

Through the grapevine, some would actually say Langan was fully expecting and looking to play a year in the MJAHL. Disappointing to the the fans? Sure. A mistake by management? Not at all. There is no need to play anyone you don't want to in the pre-season, let alone any hometown guys.

Fogdevils17, you heard right on the grapevine...From what i heard, and maybe it was to sound humble? Nor Andrew or his dad thought he would be in the line up this year, they both excepted a trip to pictou...

Know a guy on Moncton said Cormier should be on the team...haven't heard on Langan but I can't imagine anything but a top 6 forward spot for him.

If people will only come out to see a local boy play are they a fan? Fans go to the rink to support the team regardless where the players are from...fans go to the rink regardless if the team is winning or losing. Managements job is to ice the best team possible. Build a winning team and people will come...and become fans.

Come November when we are winning more games than losing everyone will say " JB is GOD" for building such a good exciting team and everyone will forget all about this local player crap. If JB doesnt think they are ready than they probably are not.

...haven't heard on Langan but I can't imagine anything but a top 6 forward spot for him. The rumors surrounding this kid at the rinks are rampant. I've seriously tried not to listen to them, but they come up whenever a group of three or more start talking. The most plausible seems to be that he'll stay in Pictou if he's on the top 2 lines; otherwise he comes home. They want him to get lots of icetime. Playing midget and practicing with the Sea Dogs is mentioned a lot.

The latest I've heard:
Langan (16) signs with Pictou Cormier (17) signs with Moncton
Other Vitos:
Worden (16) signs with Moncton Steen (17) signs with Amherst McLaughlin (16) signs with Amherst Miller (16) signs with Woodstock

Doubt it....the MJAHL is a very deep league filled with older players... Langan will likely start on the 3rd or 4th line...by mid-season he could be a top 6 forward...but 16 year olds rarely have much of an impact in the JR A league.

I guess 16yr old Noseworthy from Dartmouth is in Pictou too.
