The problem for the Foggies isn't their offense it's more on their backend. Whats exactly is wrong with our back end? Sure we don't have a thousand first round picks back there no are may of them high picks the devils decided to compete for the first 2 seasons as well they decided to spread out the drafting and not pick every defencman available. Enough with my sorta sarcasm and on to the rest of my post We may not have the greatest skilled players back there but we have maturity and experience. The average of our starting D core is 1 year older, at 18.5, then your starting D core at 17.5 now we may not have this years top defensive prospect in our line up but we do have last years Defensive Rookie of the year on our back end. While I know the Dogs D is better then the Devils skill/potential wise, the Devils have age and maturity. I think our D will a fine job may not be as good as yours but a team is a Sum of all it's parts. As a whole the Devils are better then the Dogs.

EXPECTATIONS: "This is the best team we've had yet,'' said head coach and general manager Real Paiement. "We have a good group of forwards so we'll have more scoring than we've had in the past. I think for the first time we have the type of team that can win low scoring or high scoring games. The strength of our team is in the forwards and our goaltending looks to be solid.''Even Real seems to agree he doesn't seem to mention the defense for some reason. I'm not saying the D for the Fog Devils stinks or anything but that would be an area of concern for me much like the offense is a concern for the Sea Dogs.

I never said it was a strength either I just said it's good enough to keep us ahead of you guys. The game plan for the Devils this season is easy our D has to funnel perimeter shots at Timo, take care of the rebounds and make good first passes simple as that nothing fancy then let the forwards to the rest. We have a net minder who loves touching the puck and has very good rebound control our D will do the job that’s needed. This convo reminds me of the quote “You can teach defense. Scoring touch...you either have it or you don’t”

Maybe we have a coaching staff that has the ability to get the best out of players.
