i think brett will be a bit different this season* he knows his role well. but i think he will be a better player than people think. i expect a good season of hockey from brett. year older. bit smarter. great shape. and a real team player. pug.

Again I'm going on everyone on the list mentioned as being healthy and assuming there are no trades or anything and I never said he wouldn't play I just said he'll likely be a healthy scratch maybe about 10 games or so during the season that's not such a bad thing and with injuries he may not sit at all I am saying this if there were no injuries.
Of course there are things like Liske's head injury that could very well come into play injuries are part of the game I understand that.
When I say my understanding is.....
A) The majority of the players on the list had good seasons last year and are likely going to be better this season and I feel as though they have a spot and as long as they (including Gallant) work hard the spot is theirs to lose.
B) The word on Kirkpatrick is very good and I hear nothing but positive things about him I tend to follow what Lala says when talking about players I haven't seen play and he has had very good things to say about him mentioning that he would be surprised if he didn't make the 3rd line even.
Again I'm not against Gallant at all I know he works hard and I'm sure he's working even harder this year but the enforcer role has deminished over the past few years it's just a fact. I love watching him kick someone's ass man makes my night complete even when the Dogs get beat it's always fun to see. I'm not sure why sitting out maybe 10 games or so would be such a big deal and I'd be willing to bet Gallant would completely understand he's just that type of player he wants to win.
Cheers ;D

I still can;t see him sitting unless he is nursing an injury especially with a pro fighting coach like JB........We were second in the league in fighting majors last season and its common knowledge that you play better with a fighter in the lineup..........so you want a young player to develope, yes hockey has been going more euro and soft lately but the tough physical game will be back.
