I doubt Howes will take up a spot on his brothers team? Not this year anyway. They are looking to be top contender so I see them getting top end players. Althought they could include him in a trade if he is any good.

I kinda find Gallea interesting played limited game but under a great coach and could allow for a defenseman to be traded.
I am a huge Scott Howes fan I'm curious to see how his brother does he only played in 17 games last year

A trade involving a defenceman....Gagne 16(nope), Despres 17(nope), Sauve 18(nope), Grant 19(nope)Amyot 18, Stich 19 and MacDonld18, possibility. If Howes' brother has anywhere near the nose for the net that his brother has, it could be worth the investment. Scott took the "biscuit to the basket" last year better than anyone in the league IMO. He just seemed to be able to find a lane between 6 or 7 guys like they were standing still. Maybe his little bro has some of that instinct lurking under the surface.

It must be pretty far under the suraface, he was 1-3-4 in 17 games in Jr.A. Sounds like just a token invite as a favor to his brother.

Yeah, token invite.....I'm sure J.B. and the Ontario scouts have a reason other than a favor to have the kid in camp....we'll see next week.

I can see Amyot and possibly Stich if they are looking to upgrade to a Euro forward Anyone in mind? If they are looking for a Euro forward the pickings might be alittle slim so trading Stich isn't likely I'd venture to say the top available Euro might Knotek. I think they will try to improve the offense though possibly adding a 20 year replacing Liske and possibly a 19 year NHL drafted player. Some possibly names might be Tommy Joly Danny Masse Felix Petit Paul Byron JP Chabot Robert Slaney Yannick Riendeau Logan MacMillen Just some possible ideas of players that might be acquired I certainly don't think Amyot will be the player though he might be part of it I think it's going to be one of those deals that is completed at the next draft.

For those who haven't heard, Evan Sparling, the 17 year old brother of Ryan Sparling, has secured a walk-on try out with the Sea Dogs.

Evan Sparling was actually a huge bantam AAA scoring star at 14. He had some issues adjusting to Midget AAA at 15 with the Tradesmen and looked physically overmatched, much like Ryan looked at 15. Evan played High School hockey at 16 though so i wasnt able to watch him.
