Well we have some people saying he'll be suspended for 1 game (Wed vs Chi) and other people saying he'll just get the game misconduct of today's game. which is it? It's a CODE 4!!! He only get suspended 1 game if he has an accumulation of them.

Nice picking of the stars...Rio goes 33 of 34 and keeps the Cats in the game but 1st star goes to a rookie with -1, no points, shots, faceoffs taken or hits. Also, Barbario had the OT goal and an assit on the 1st goal... Unless he played very terrible for the rest of the game, he is the guy that made the difference for the cats and for the game... Maybe he deserved 1st star instead of 3rd.

So was it only the game misconduct that Lessard got or will he be suspended for Wed's Game...? Yeah this happems a lot, he'd get 1 game if he had 4 or 5 of those accumulated. Nice picking of the stars...Rio goes 33 of 34 and keeps the Cats in the game but 1st star goes to a rookie with -1, no points, shots, faceoffs taken or hits. No different than the previous night in BC. The game wasn't even close at 5-2 and Dominge gets the first star while two BC players get 2 and 3. The three stars are just a home town 'feel good' gesture where when they lose, they still get one or two stars, but when they win, it's typically 3 stars. A meaningless stat really.

I wouldn't say its meaningless. On a game by game basis you might get the wrong stars picked. But overall game after game the stat get more importance.
This is what I mean. If a player make the stars 2 or 3 times during the year big deal!! But if a player get a star in 20 games then he is a very good player.

I tend to just watch the game and decide for myself ... weird eh ?

If someone doesn't watch the games, like a scout doesn't watch every game. If a player get 20 stars, then he should be on the radar.

If someone doesn't watch the games, like a scout doesn't watch every game. If a player get 20 stars, then he should be on the radar. Scouts would never rely on a meaningless stat like the 3 stars. If a scout would call an NHL GM and say that he should draft a player because he got 20 1st stars, that scout would be fired on the spot.
