No, there's no Euros available. There rarely is in August. There will be in December no doubt, but there's no need of filling the extra Euro spot just to have 2 on the roster if the player can't play top 4 D or be a top 9 forward. Good to see Mario moved down to get his guy.

I hear for a today that the Russian isn't coming . Staying in Russia to play B division hockey. Any Euros available out there? Are you sure ? I heard he was getting a try-out in the Super League , and then would consider his options after that . I know for a fact that he wanted to come over here and play , so this is a little surprising to read he's staying home to play division B .

Said it before, been burned by it before, will say it again:
Conjecture and guesswork about Euros and whether or not they're coming, and whether or not they'll be impact, is all but useless until training camp comes and they're either there or they're not!

Wouldn't the Organization say something official ? They usually do .... at the end of September when they have something definite.

I heard the Eagles offered him everything he was asking for and he agreed in principal to the deal, however, an opportunity to play at a higher level in Russia came up. Who can blame him for taking a crack at it. From the Eagles perspective, the European picks are sort of a crapshoot anyway and its more of a crapshoot with Russian players. I think the Eagles did their homework but sometimes even that is not enough. Maybe it will pan out after all.

He still might be here before the season starts , the only thing they are positive of is that he will not be here when camp starts.

Mario appears very unconcerned with the Russian's status. He even refers to maybe still getting him next year if he stays in Russia this year. Seems very lax to me where we could be wasting another Euro spot for a year or two. I know the org has good relation with the agent, and maybe we couldn't find anyone else, but still, ....

Not like it matters. Mario would probably just trade him mid-season for another useless player. *cough*Demkov,Tesink*cough* hahahaha
