Holy crap. I'm not bringing this up to stir the Gelinas/Cousineau thing again, but I was curious as to how Gelinas is playing in Shawinigan, and just noticed this.

Well Brennan's playing with Buffalo tonight and doing real well in the AHL, hows Grant doing?

Not sure if this is true yet or not but I read on another message board some Pens fans saying that Simon Despres is not being invited to the Pens NHL training camp.  |

He's been a healthy scratch the last couple of games. Pens seem to be set in their top 6 but I can see Despres being an early call up throughout the season. |

I'm sure he'll be there when he's needed. I don't think NHL teams are looking to disrupt AHL/CHL rosters if they dont need to. If the Pens D is pretty much set theyll probably only need to invite who they need to.

Obviously what I read about Despres was wrong since he's in the lineup against the Flyers right now.

Obviously what I read about Despres was wrong since he's in the lineup against the Flyers right now. Looked pretty good too, he and Engelland each played 10 + minutes compared to all the other defence who played 20 + as would be expected. But, it's nice to see him start the year in Pittsburgh. *edit to all not toall. |

He had a nice assist tonight. Looked a bit careless/overconfident in his own end and coughed it up once. He could get away with that kind of stuff when he was down here. He's not a man among boys anymore. He's a boy among men.
