Seems like a few Rempart fans want to see their team acquire Knotek and a diff 20 year old...rather than go with Stefanovich...

I heard that about Stefanovich as well, not sure what's going on there.

I like the sound of that trade. That way we still got a game changer and are able to use our 1st round Euro wiht out a second thought. Plus we'd get some more out of it a high pick or young stud forward I would think. An other thing I'd like to see them get is a player that will be a 20 as future cosideration at the draft.

Id want Martin Lefevbre but that wont happen. Quebec does have some interesting 17 year old forwards who are under performaing. Charles Power and Benjamin Martin to name 2...I liked Power heading into his draft year but hes done nothing this season. Both are big bodies, Power has more skill than Martin though, but neither would be the centrepiece, likely the 2nd part. I dont really see Halifax and Quebec as an ideal fit, unless Quebec wants to spend a 1st rd pick.

It might not be the ideal fit, however if PEI is looking for a euro, and upgrade on Guay, they may have interest in Stefanovich if Knotek won't go there (but would go to Quebec). Possible 3 team trade maybe?

Fortune is not struggling, he isn't playing. Hard to get top minutes with Delisle, Labrie, Laporte, Janosik and Barnard ahead of you. For some reasons, Dupont is playing Seed, but IMO, Fortune is better than Seed. He uses the body a lot more and he makes the smart and safe play. He's slow, OK, but he's Q material.

I am not familiar with him although I do see Amyot on the move, our needs are forwards not young dee. I realy think are defense will be solid next year so I hope Cam is targeting forwards with any moves.

I think with moving Brunet it's a bit tougher for them to move Amyot... they can't completely gut the D of experience.

In this case it's not dead weight as so much as best return and giving up more ice time for the ones who need it. Let's face it Amyot isn't even our best defense men, Clark and Konrad are better then him and they're 17.

He is borderline Q material, ive seen a lot of Fortune and to me he is at best a #6 dman...and Halifax has enough defense anyway.
