Wuest has provided a scoting report on Bradley MacDonald at www.metronews.ca/halifax/blog/post/416290From John Moore's web site he seemed rather excited to be a Moosehead. Maybe he will live up to his earlier projections.

He scores garbage and crashes the net, etc...thats not a bad thing but i see him as more of a 3rd line Centre who can chip in some offense. Maybe upside at 19 would be 25 goals 20 assists

Does Cam put him in the top 6 right away? I see no reason not to. If he's going to be a player to build around, throw him in and let him play some minutes.
Also, will there come a time where we split up the Knotek-Grant-Randall line?? It's been great all season, but outside of the odd offense from the Gelinas-Andrews-Lemieux line, the other lines haven't produced at all. With MacDonald, it might give us another threat to try and even out the offense. I'm not expecting MacDonald to come in and start tearing it up, but he obviously has some skill, so why not try him with some skilled guys, and see if we can get some secondary scoring.

Once again Cam makes himself look like a genus. Getting ride of a player that shouldn't have been here for a guy who hasn't been given a solid chance with loads of up side. Now we got 2 good goalies should win a few more maybe. MacDonald doesn't want to play in the Q, that's why PEI traded him. I wouldn't call delamas a good goalie, more like a recalamation project...Roy basically dumped him for Tardif. I disagree, Dalmas is a pretty decent goalie and a good return for an 6th round pick in 2011. As for MacDonald you never know maybe playing at home miight make a difference and they gave up virtually anothing for him to find out if it does make a differance.

still, not a bad deal for a 6th. if he steals a few games from here on for us with some strong play, his trade value would definately go up for next season.

Even aside, having someone provide Corbeil support is probably worth giving up a 2011 6th because Grondin wasn't giving much support with a save % at marginally above .800. A good move.
