Moose coming off a 3-2 Loss to the Wildcats, Rocket coming off a 4-1 loss to the St.John Sea Dogs last night....8-5 was the score last week when these two played....I'm expecting Corbeil to be real good tonight and we can take this one 4-2 if we keep their top line in check and hit them at every turn! Go Moose Go!!!

Anyone know if the Rocket has made it to Halifax yet? There is still a restriction to high-sided vehicles on the Confederation Bridge at this time due to high winds...and that's been the case since last evening (the MJAHL Halifax Lions had to postpone their game in Summerside last night)

They might have to do the same for PEI today, and have a bus waitng on the other side.

I caught the audio for this game and once again it sounded like Halifax played the Rocket hard. Last week when the Mooseheads were in Charlottetown I was very impressed with how Halifax played as they skated hard the entire game and kept things going, they may have come out on the losing end of these games but it certainly isn't from a lack of effort.

For the second night in a row we deserved a much better fate.
Corbeil was weak tonight otherwise we win this easy. We were by far the better team tonight and for a team in last to greatly outplay both Moncton and PEI,if the games of this weekend are any indication as to how good those teams are........sell...sell....sell.
I am a huge fan of Desjardins but for the second night in a row he took a stupid penalty when we were on a powerplay, this time during a 5 on 3. I would think a good coach would have benched him for a bit. As soon as his penalty was over he was back on the powerplay. He made a stupid play which cost us the tieing goal. I do like his play but I think it is time that he is held acountable instead of being rewarded.
Thomas was by far the best player on the ice tonight, he made an unbelievable toe drag that resulted in Gerards first goal. He made a move in close in the first only to ring it off the post. He was just fun to watch all night.
The crowds were very disapointing this weekend, I would guess there was barely over 3000 in the stands both games. Those that did not come missed 2 good games. Bobby was at the game tonight I am sure he was more impressed by the team then the crowd. I wonder if he has any idea what to do. I had some friends down for the games this weekend and they could not understand how this team is in last place. So that is a good thing.

Should have been a 3 point weekend. This weekend could come back and bite them in the ass at the end of the year. They should have had this game and should have at lest gone to OT last night.

Okay guys here's hfxfan09's take I agree with Webber we really deserved much better fate this weekend we had 4 points stolen from us by Poor Poor Poor officiating . I have never seen 2 Q games reffed as poorly as I did at both games this weekend, anyhow heres my take on the game
1st period we were completely outplayed they scored 2 quick goals; we score one before the first is over thank goodness ended the first on a 5 on 3 with PEI getting their guy thrown out for a CFB on one of our guys. 2nd period Halifax quickly ties it; then miraculously goes ahead 3-2 ref makes up another stupid call PEI ties it at 3; more time goes by the ref blows Halifax for penalties at every turn makes things up every time we had the puck it seemed; 2nd ends with the teams tied at 3. 3rd Period Halifax pulls ahead 4-3; but PEI scores another goal to tie the game at 4 all of a sudden the ref loses his whistle doesn't call anything the entire 3rd except fighting majors and a Hook on PEI Halifax goes ahead 5-4; but with about 8 mins left PEI ties it at 5. buzzer goes the game is still tied at 5 Overtime 2 mins in Knotek is whistled for a real weak boarding call and Matt and the team almost kill the PP but PEI wins Matt goes off the ice freaking pissed off for the 2nd night in a row . Bety took the PEI player in the fight I think; and webber is right crowds for Fri and Sat night announced as over 4,000 paid attendance I'd say more like between 2-3,000 for both games, as webber said whoever missed this weekends games missed a last place team take two pretty good teams really well and almost beat both of them this weekend. Matt was real good last night and made some good saves tonight but it wasn't his best game if this team keeps this up and can catch a few breaks we may just squeeze into the playoffs. Go Moose Go next up in Moncton on Tues night!!!! It was a frustrating weekend for the team and for the fans this league really should invest in some refs who know how to properly officiate a hockey game I never want to see the refs who did last night or tonight's game in our building ever again.

Qfan69 its kinda hard to have this game when the ref makes penalties up; I still don't understand how Desjardins got unsportsmanlike all I saw was him standing in front of their net; If someone could enlighten me? Its hard to get to OT when your goalie has the puck frozen but the ref is to much of an idiot to blow the play dead and they shove it in.

Actually you and webber seem to have a much different take on it. Webber actually had sensible reasons for the loss and mentioned a few players who didnt have good games, and if they had had better games maybe the moose would have one. You on the other hand will continue to use the excuse of the officials for every moose loss. How is unsportsmanlike a made up penalty? How do you know he didnt say something to the ref or another player that warranted unsportsmanlike? Maybe he was warned about something earlier and didnt change his attitude. Maybe you made a couple of actual points in the hockey game but in the end all your post reads as is whining about the officials. Please summarize all these "made up penalties" you speak of. I wasn't at the game so I would love to hear about it.

Boy if he was doing a Sean Avery you and the ref were the only ones to see that and in O/T you call that come on Hfxfan09 is right the ref sucks..We could have had four more points and we do have three very hard games this week the boys will be happy to get a break on Saturday..A win in Moncton would really upset Wildcats and their loyal fans, and to stop Seadogs streak either on Thursday or Friday would be wonderful way to take some time off for Christmas and watching the World Juniors too..
