Interesting.
Wonder if we can get Tye McGinn from Gatineau. Or maybe a blockbuster with PEI for Struthers, Champagne and Mathieu if we give them Roy and the draft plus players and picks now.

What's the scoop on this McGinn kid ? Do you really think PEI can do this , I mean they have a bigger need than us to do "SOMETHING",when have they ever made a run ? Plus they are a Franchise that needs to add fans not lose them .

BIG MISTAKE by the Eagles not to sell. To face Moncton or Saint John in 1st round with be awfully tough. There's always a chance for them to beat them but IMO it's SLIM Chance...Not to sell this year and get younger players/picks for yr assets probably means a couple of years in the basement of the division IMO...
Again, Just my 2 cents worth....

Montreal deal has stalled as word is PV wanted LeSieur as part of it. Eagels Head scout Bob Johnson has advised Mario to get a BIG body or two that he drafted when he was in charge of the Foggies. An Eagle insider has told me that Roy, Meullieur, two picks on the table for Allen and a player. We'll see what happens. I can't see Allen mvoing until at least January 4th, but it could be French goalie for Maritime goalie, plus others.

Is Roy for Allen really necessary for either team in this deal?
That trade doesn't make sense to me at all.

Maxime Legault has a injury to his shoulder he must receive treatment before each game .
Legault is not the same player since he injured (again) is shoulder in november in a game in Chicoutimi .
The last 10 games Lagault play for the Cats he was not at all a impact player .
Maybe some Eagle Fan can describe what kind of player is Maximilien Lessieur and what is the injured Michael Ward have .
But Legault if is shoulder is ok he will be a big asset to the Eagles during the playfoff .

I guess this trade means that Luke Adam is off the market.

This is a joke. Ward has been brutal as a twenty year old to be quite honest a huge disappointment to be quite honest but to give up Lesieur and the picks we did just doesn't make sense. I did hear Roy may be going to MTL but at the draft for the first rounder we gave to Shawinigan Wall and Dion. Berube will be coming here for Meilleur next year as well. Take it for what it is worth but this is shit

Looks like a patch job to me....
If you sold yr assets correctly, you guys would be in good shape in 2 yrs when the Q hosts the Memorial Cup.....

Many of us agree 100% with you hockey1981. The Eagles had a great opportunity to begin a Quality rebuilding process with the assets that they had.
Instead we are putting a patch on a lineup with many holes in it.

I don't see how trading Roy for Allen makes any sense for Mtl. They have Berube who just got drafted this year ahead of Roy. I assume they will be wanting him to be the starter in the 2nd half and next year.

Butt out hockey 1981, its Halifax that will be around in 2012 when the "Q" hosts the Memorial Cup, Cape Breton is holding on to their fan base thats job one on the island and who knows they could come up big when the chips are down during the play-offs.
